You're killing me, Smalls!

Is a line from some 90's movie that I don't know the context of. However, it's used a lot in American English lingo and no, don't ask me which generations use it. I hardly use it, except for now. Lionbrand is a yarn based company first created in 1878 or thereabouts. They have been emailing me every day about one sale after the other. I don't even open the email I just click delete and sigh. Now JOANN'S FABRICS is doing it to me For those saying "well just unsubscribe from the email." Those are the scariest words I've ever heard! Why would I do that? No, but in all seriousness I like keeping up to date with lion brand but it's rather annoying when I can't afford a large yarn haul at the moment. Alas... Now taking donations for my yarn fund (I jest.. or do I?)

I saw that it was from "Sandlot", but I don't know the movie . At least with Joann's, there's always a helpful coupon , if you are willing to spend .

@ScribbledAdNauseum Is Joanne's going out of business? We have one here, I just haven't visited in a while - I hope they don't close!

@much2say I thought the one near me was a few years ago. It's sort of hidden behind other buildings and in an area we don't get to often. AC Moore went out of business a few years ago. I think Michaels' bought them out.

Yeah, I'd have to go to the actual store.. I don't trust joann's online / they take forever! Our Joan''s is actually still in business (though I thought it wasn't). Yeah, had never heard of the movie. Makes me think of Adam Sandler though.

Uh Oh, ya got on a list. I can just see you by the side of the road with a sign that says "Will work for yarn.". You would probably get some offers from knitters and crafters!

Oh, I don't know about that. We're pretty possessive of our yarn. My dollar tree hasn't even had a lot of yarn to choose from. The yarnie people just grab it up! I have thought about buying bulk from sellers on facebook marketplace. Lots in my State that are de-stashing or getting rid of their deceased loved ones stash.

@snowy22315 Yeah, I might also go out of state if the shipping price is reasonable.

I use that phrase, and I too have no idea what movie it's from.

Oh, wouldnt' that be lovely? One of these days when I have more money I am going to go into one or two of the craft stores and buy to my hearts content (or until it will fill my shelves)

Thank You. In all honesty I still need to get a few things straightened up before I can really start getting more than the occasional skein.

You get no donation from me. But you did get a respond which will help you make a little money to buy yarn.

That is just as good as a donation in my book. Thank You! Lion brand yarn is expensive but worth it.

I just use Red Heart brand from Walmart. And I buy everything they have in the same lot so it all matches.

I get Mainstays too. I hate you can't buy mainstays online. I love the "I Love This" brand from Hobby Lobby too.

@DaddyEvil I don't go into the physical store very often because my wallet seems to fly around and stick to most things there when I go... They have good yarn selection though. Lately the Red Heart from Walmart has had a lot of knots in it. I know it's not Walmart's fault, but it seems like they're getting the worst of the lot.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I've gotten a lot of things in Hobby Lobby but yarn wasn't one of them.
