Grand Alumni Home Coming. My high school Alma Mater always holds a grand alumni home coming every first Saturday of March, and with the pandemic, this year is different. For the past years, the celebration starts with a mass with the hosting batch, the a grand motorcade that goes around the town. Lunchtime is the time when, each batch is gathered, reunited and catch up over food. At night time, an event for a cause is hold, a fund raising event that the money that it will be generated will be donated to our school. This time, with the pandemic, there is an adjustment from what or how the home coming is celebrated. PLANTING TREES. I have seen some of my friends doing it so, older batches and the younger ones. And I felt that planting trees is the best for this year for the past two years, my home town has been flooded, which is very unusual, there were lots of landslides. I thank the hosting batch, batch '96 for the initiative. By the way, next year, 2022, it will be our batch's turn. The Golden Jubilarians. I would love to attend, wanted to do what this hosting batch has planned, planting trees. What are the changes that happened in your life due to the pandemic?

@Lucky15 So many plans had to be postponed that, sometimes, it doesn't seem like we'll ever get to do them. *sigh*

I hope that by next year it will go back to the normal way of celebrating your home coming. But yes I agree that tree planting would be the best activity for now.

Hoping this will end, soonest. it is not fun with the pandemic. What matters with the home coming is the bond and the reunion :D

that life can turn to unpredictable, that life is short, we need to take care of our health, and we need to have back up plans

Planting trees is an excellent idea. It can help prevent soil erosion from the heavy rain you get. The pandemic has changed everything for me.

Living in the valley, when erosion, landslides happen, roads are closed and also dangerous. Hoping they will make it as a yearly thing to do

Well they cancled the anual fireworks, but that's the only thing that's affected me on a personal level. Businesses continue to struggle, but I blame the govornment for that. Many people lost their jobs, and the govornment made unemployment very appealing. Many people decided they couldn't be bothered to get back to work, and those who try, tend to get the run-around. A requirment to continue to receive unemployment is to show you're activly looking for a job, so some employers feel used.

Our High Schools here get together every decade. I've only attended once (I've only been out of school for 16 years). I like that trees were planted this time. For many months I did not go outside except to buy food.
