Well, winter has arrived in full-force in many parts of the country inspiring me to come up with a music trivia quiz with a stormy weather theme. Whether its tune titles about hurricanes, thunderstorms, or cold temperatures, there's one thing these songs will all have in common, they will encourage you to stay indoors. So let's take a look at today's stormy weather tunes... Seeing a Winter Wonderland can be an awesome sight. Especially if you like views of a snow covered landscape and white tree branches. Of course, you could also have temps so low it could make your feet and hands feel like their "frozen." And so, today's songs title's are going to "freeze" your butt off, Our video tune today is by a group named "Rainbow" called "Stone Cold." I'm "freezing cold" already! Hope you enjoyed this song from 1982. Like the weather a lovers breaking up can also leave you out in the cold, which this tune was really about... Now onward to your trivia quiz. Don't "freeze" up! (Remember words in quotations provide hints to the music trivia answers) Now, here are your artist and song clues- Whodunnit? 1. This artist and his band are "New Jersey" music icons. The group's leader goes by the nickname "The Boss," a name he actually doesn't like. This song tells the story of the formation of this musician's E Street Band. In the song's lyrics the singer introduces his saxophone player Clarence Clemmons by saying, "when the Big Man joined the band." This entertainer was the first to simultaneously have his photo appear on the cover of both Newsweek and Time magazines in 1975. Despite his massive popularity, this artist has never had a #1 single. This tune was a track on the band's breakthrough "Born To Run" album. Fun fact: Today's song title and the band's name have something in common... a street and an "avenue." The group got it's name from "E street," a roadway located in Belmar, NJ, where their keyboard player lived at the time. And the "numbered avenue," which is part of the song title runs through that street. -Do you know this "Jersey Shore artist & band" and his chilly avenue titled song? 2. The group was one of the first rock bands to emerge from Boston, with a sound that also incorporated blues and soul. In the 70's this group struggled to find mainstream success on the charts, with only one song, "Must of Got Lost" peaking at #12 on the Hot 100. The early 80's were a different story for this band however, as they scored a #1 hit with "Centerfold," and followed that up with today's "frigid-titled" song, which reached #4 in 1982. Part of the song's title is another way of describing "a still image" in a photo. Like when a photographer wants you to "hold a pose" or become "suddenly motionless." In this tune the singer recounts a memorable week with a lovely lady through the use of film production terms like, rough-cut, slow motion, and snapshot in the lyrics. Other popular songs by this band are "Give It To Me" and the humorous "Love Stinks." This band is named after their guitarist. Their "lead singer's last name" is the same as a canine species whose first initial begins with a "W." Fun fact: Other bands named after their guitarist are Van Halen and Santana. -Do you know this Boston area band (not Boston) and their "frozen titled" song. The "second word to this title" is the term you would use to describe "the object that you put a picture in." # 3. Bonus: There was another band out of Boston who had great success in the late 70's and early 80's. This New Wave/Power Rock band had great chart success with songs like "My Best Friend's Girl" and "Just What I Needed." -Do you know the name of this Boston-based group? Ok, "don't get stuck out in the cold" when coming up with these song and artist answers. Remember, a storm theme is part of the song title. If your stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. Or as Dionne Warwick might say in song, "That What Friends Are For." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! You did a nice job of using those clues! Yes, #1 is Bruce and #2 is Freeze Frame Here is a little friendly help. 1. A "numbered avenue," which is part of the song title. Not #9 but the number after. Put the number with today's frozen theme. 2. Peter Wolf was their lead singer and lyricist of this band. If you don't recognize their songs in the clues above it's like being "left out in the cold." 3. Another name for an auto is a "The ______s." Care to guess again. Hopefully, you don't "catch a chill" with your second try

Thanks to the clues of the nickname of "Boss" and his E Street Band, it would be Bruce Springsteen. The second band that you mentioned would be the J Geils Band since I remember the song "Centerfold."
