Have you ever tried the Factory Reset on your phone?

I've tried it once and it's an amazing way to delete everything on your phone in just a few clicks and bring it back from the beginning. I've decided to reset that phone because my girlfriend will give that to her mother, and if I'm going to buy another phone I'm going to reset my current phone as well because I'll give it to my parents.

Indeed. When there's something wrong with the system. Factory reset is one of the best answer too.

@tech40 I only did a reset because I had to replace the phone and I did not want that someone would see my data.

@Hytton03 There's nothing bad if you don't have plans to sell it or give it to someone. However sometimes when there's an issue. Factory Reset is the best way to solve it

@stephcjh That's very rare since most of the people nowadays have one or two phones. Cool!

Before the factory reset, make sure the battery on the smartphone is not less than 30%.

I didn't know this but I think my phone is at 100% before I reset it, but is there any reason why?

@tech40 The reason is, the factory reset process takes a very long time because it will clean all contents and put the system back on from the product like when you just bought a cellphone. If during the process the phone suddenly turns off then it can cause a bootloop.

@May2k8 Ooh! I'm not aware about it but you're right. I thought it'll only consume at least 2% or 3%. Is there a chance that it will take 29% battery?

I have never tried that myself. But I am aware of it. My husband did that to his phone when he handed his old smartphone to my daughter.

It's really need when we're going to give our old phones to someone, just to make sure that everything is clean specially when you're going to sell it
