It's open

I have the window open for the first time this season. It's around 67 degrees F (19 degrees C) right now and perfect weather to have the window open.
I have soft music playing and have been reading off and on between doing small tasks both online and offline. Occasionally I hear the chirping of birds.
Spring is here.
What's the weather where you are?
What do you do when you are bored?

It's now 5:41 pm here.
Sometimes TV makes me restless, but I do like watching dramas sometimes.

So I thought that was a window at your house that you took a picture of, and I was about to say it looks like you live in a castle. lol

I wish it was at my house
No, honestly, all of our windows really need a good scrubbing
So I decided to just use a stock image.

@moffittjc I need to go through with a vacuum as well as a microfiber cloth and some windex. I've done a few windows here and there, but they all need a good scrubbing again.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I probably should check on my windows as well. It's been a while since I've cleaned them. But obviously, until I recover from Covid, any cleaning is going to have to wait.

It's nice to let the fresh air in sometimes, isn't it?
Mine will stay open until it's too cold.

Well, I had no idea about pecks but got it from JJ's comment below.so I learn another new thing today here
.
I open my window every morning unless it's raining outside. Luckily we don't get such extreme temperatures. Enjoy your lovely weather. Our spring is officially coming to an end

@arunima25 Most windows and doors here in the US have that mesh, but some of the newer ones do not.

I love the fresh air that comes in from the windows.
Sometimes it's just easier to have the air on instead. The way our house is set up, the breeze would not come through all the rooms.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We are fortunate this way with this current house of ours. It's well lighted and ventilated. I have mesh installed on all windows and slide doors . That keeps the mosquitoes and flies out and only fresh air comes in.

I think the low is supposed to be 56. I'd leave my window open all night if it weren't for the fact that I'd still need the fan to cancel the noise.

I love opening windows on overcast days too, as long as it isn't too rainy.

@Nevena83 True. I might if we have tree cover, but we had a lot of trees removed last year.

Weather is damp and moderate. I have been popping in and out of the house, working online, and in the house. I painted some drawers that will become shelves. No open windows yet. Last week we could have done that.

@ScribbledAdNauseum The breeze has picked up here a little and it isn't quite as warm as it was an hour or so ago. I am going for my walk in a minute..and think I will wear a light jacket.

The answer is "Peck".
By the way, the garden outside the window looks alluring. Soft music and birds outside- what a nice thing to have!
And well I prepare for sleep now!

It's actually two gallons worth of peppers.
I read a website today where a man also figured out that by the riddle, the man would have been in England and most likely picking peppercorns.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh, I thought it's red peppers. Maybe his job was to pick the peppers as that sure is a lot.

Yes, exactly that. That's quite a bunch of peppers.
I read on a website that it was likely the "peppers" were actually peppercorns.

@Tina30219 It feels nice here now. The grey skies are a contrast to the grass which is trying to wake back up.

It's been storming, thunder and lightning, for the past two days and is still going strong here. It is 55 F, so much too cool to have doors and/or windows open yet.
Eight quarts...
If I get bored, I tend to fall asleep. Thunder, strong enough to rattled the windows, woke me up a few minutes ago.

I wish it would storm here.
We had one good storm last year, but it's been years since we've had the boisterous thunder booms and lighting strikes that I like.

@DaddyEvil Yikes!
Recently watched a guy go through and unplug drainage on the sides of the road as it was nearly turning into a lake. Wasn't from this year though (the video).
I'm trying to remember when the last time it rained here.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I love to watch a good storm at night, as long as I'm not trying to drive or do anything outside during one.
If I could, I'd share some of this with you. The sewers are starting to fill making plumbing slow here.

The peter piper tongue twister was one of my favorites.
It can get too cold or too hot for the window to be open here.
