Penguin March

It was worth sitting for hours on the shores of Philip Island of Melbourne, Australia in the biting cold, waiting for penguins to appear from the sea.
It was quite late in the evening and was turning dark. And then there it was a single penguin that appeared from the sea. It came to the shore and waited. There were more that appeared and in a row they marched towards their burrow to spend the night.
This we were told happens every night
A memory that has stayed with me although it was years ago that I had visited
Australia.
Any travel memory to share?

They are so disciplined. They wait until all come out of the ocean.

@JudyEv I am not aware of that but to see them waiting for each other was so endearing. And to think that this happens every single day.

I have some memories too. Like our visit to Jim Corbett a few years back where we stayed in a good resort.
Or the trip to Nainital some 13 years back where I got to experience my first snowfall of my life.

May be when the things get better, you could go to a place with good snowfall, which is well accessible from your place.

I don't really travel, so this is hard for me to think of something. But, I remember that our wedding day we had to go to Brooksville for my father-in-laws' Memoral service. And, it proved interesting cause we were running late. But.... we were trying to buy a house so.... Not fun. But we made quite the entrance when we did get there.

We had to travel miles to get there and got back pretty late in the night in that we dropped the sight seeing option of the Great Ocean Road the next day.

Just before the lockdown last year we went to two beautiful places. The mountains for a a night as we enjoyed fresh strawberries and vegetables. The next day we traveled for 5 hours to get to a private island which was everything i wanted. I miss traveling. I miss the beach badly.
