Cannot write right. . .

This morning for some reason, my right hand is going to sleep as I try to use the computer. I cannot write.
So any plans I may have had to do a lot of "Lotting" just got derailed.
If I were to tell the doctor, the first thing I would be told is that I likely have Carpal Tunnel syndrome. Except the numbness pattern does not fit the diagnostic criteria.
I think it is the arthritis in my back and neck. Sometimes my hand, or both hands, goes cold and dead in my sleep. That of course wakes me up. Not fun. Sometimes it is painful.
Once I get my knee and leg working right I may talk with the doctor about the arm issue. One problem at a time.

It might be arthritis, it might be a pinched nerve. I seem to be okay now. It just was strange that morning.

@GardenGerty I'm glad it's come good. I have things happen like that. Something hurts a lot one day then comes good again.

I have had it off and on for years, but you know, as I get older it is worse.

@GardenGerty I agree. It doesn't take much for my hand and arm to go numb while I'm on the computer.

It is something that does not happen all the time and it is mostly good now.

I hope it gets to feeling better quickly. I’ve had flare-ups like that, and like you they just shrug (after doing that rather painful carpal tunnel test). If you find anything that helps (like Biofreeze or stretches), please let me know!

Paraffin bath helped me years ago. I do not use it often enough. The best topical I ever used is called Outback Pain Relief, but I have not ordered more( a bit expensive). I just bought some Voltaren Gel generic at Wal Mart this evening. Was recommended by my podiatrist, and my primary physician said to try it. It says it is for joints and may take a week to work, but I put it on a couple of spasms in my leg and it felt better right away. I may try it on my wrists and thumbs later.

I sure hope you feel much better soon, I have had strange numbness in my hand but I just persevered and wrote a lot slower and it finally all just went away, For me it was sort of like saying - hand you are not keeping me from writing and it listened.

This happens much more often in my sleep than when I write, but yes, I just persevere. The reason I know the numbness does not meet the criteria is I did have numbness that was classic carpal tunnel about twenty years ago. I got a paraffin spa and it went away.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you have something to help you get some relief.
It's no fun having arthritis or carpel Tunnel syndrome or any pain. It really hurts. Take care.

I'm guessing you've passed your 'best before' date...
Or it could be a side-effect from the covid jab.

This has gone on for quite a few years off and on. I would say the first option is more likely.

i'm sorry about that. maybe it's because of the positions of your hand?

Sometimes at night it is. At the computer it is always the same position.

Maybe the solution is hot dishwater
. I guess that can't hurt.
