Extra sleep

I think putting the topical gel on my muscle spasms and aches and pains helped. I slept in until my alarm went off at 5 a.m. Sleeping in means I have to hurry on other things. I also had to send a work e-mail this morning. So, I am dressed. The big boy kitties are outside. I have had breakfast. I need to pack my lunch and get on out the door. I looked at a few discussions this morning and responded. I will see you this evening, after I get the shot or shots in my knee.

Life in haste. Good thing you were able to sleep. Apply healing oils on sole of the feet before you sleep. Helps the body rejuvenate. Massage the sole a few minutes.

@eileenleyva I have coconut oil, and my feet would appreciate it, I am sure. I have also purchased topical oils that are made up of olive oil and essential oils.

@GardenGerty Most famous in our country is the virgin coconut oil. But I use all healing oils offered to me.

@allen0187 I am glad, however, that at this time they do not believe I need knee replacement. I am old enough to need it, but not that bad off. Other things help for now.

I actually wake up before 4:30. 5 is when my alarm goes off but I am usually awake when that happens.

@marlina and @jaboUK thank you both. It is strange, because my knee seems to cause both my calves and hip to have muscle spasms.

Busy day for you. Hope things go well. I've been staying in doing my phone calls going to ophthalmologist in, April 1, April Fools day. I've got AMD fry, si I'm hoping to ask my doctor for a prescription, for transitions lense and hope it's covered & free. Got to make more calls again tomorrow. Still a bit rainy, with bouts if sunshine.

I hope you can get the AMD taken care of. My sister has it, and it is progressing. One eye is good, but she is now wearing a patch on the other one.

@GardenGerty Thank you. My doctor ordered me to get Areds2, pricey, but after a year, doctor says not progressing. Stores like Walgreens, has it on sale this week, buy one get one half off plus coupons, at walgreens site, free account. I take lutein, bilberry and multi collagen too. I pray to Saints Lucy patron saint of eyes too.

Yes, it's much easier to sleep without pain. Hope the knee shots help. One sister said it didn't hurt, another said it hurt like hell.

Mostly it did not hurt, but at one point it hit a tender point that seemed to have pressure. Not so bad, though. The injection actually has lidocaine in it with the steroid. It kills the pain.

I am pleased with it as it is much better than taking pills because it seems to work faster and does not have to go through my whole body. It is less damaging to the heart and kidneys.

Are the spasms related to your knee? I've been having a bit of charlie horses in my left leg for some reason. And I still have a sore foot, otherwise I'm better than other years. If you're getting a cortisone shot I hope it does what your want. I've had them before and some work better and longer than others do.

It is my right knee, and yes, we are thinking that the spasms both in my calf and in my hip are related at least in part to my knee. This is my first cortisone shot and I am optimistic. I am also drinking glasses of generic V8 as that was recommended by a doctor a few years ago and it helps 9vitamins and minerals in it). My podiatrist recommended Voltaren Gel. It seems to help too. I checked it out with my primary before buying it, because I cannot take it orally. In fact, right now I will put some on the arch of my right foot because it has a spasm. You might ask your doctor about it, but it is over the counter.

@GardenGerty I have Voltaren feel or cream but it says it should only be used on certain joints. I think that's the one I have. Both my knees have been replaced. My one thigh was having the charlie horses and the same side arch is having a flare-up of plantar fasciitis.
