So many houses are for sale nowadays. Am just wondering if people will ever dare do big purchases especially during this time. The owners of these houses could not pay them anymore. Most of them are big houses. Will you buy a house during pandemic say you don't have one?

If I have the budget and if there is a future plan to buy one, then it is the best time to buy. but if you do not have a budget for that, then no way

Life is so uncertain so some people will put the money aside for some important things.

I think we all put a little aside just in case, but to buy a home is something really different

We won't be moving. But can you believe so many homes are being sold quickly out here - even though it is expensive? This usually means people have a lot of money on hand (how??????).

personally I wont even think about buying one during these trying times. I would rather keep whatever it is that I happen to have right now and just wait a bit until the situation gets a little bit better for all of us

With my current situation, I would probably buy because as of now, we are renting a house in the place where we work. But the problem is, I don't have much fund nowadays to afford one. Well, I can if I will apply for a loan. But I am aiming to settle all my loan obligations and that is my current priority.

@Janet357 You are right. Compare to big cities, I like to stay in the province where there is not much traffic. It's okay if the place is not within the city proper so long as it is accessible. We also have big malls already in our place.

I think properties outside Metro Manila are cheaper.

I would if I could. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in the rent trap (could afford a mortgage but can't save a deposit, and most mortgage lenders ignore the fact that if you can afford rent then you can afford a mortgage). I've been lucky enough to carry on working with a stable job that I can do from home, so now would be a good time to purchase a house for us if we could.

Real estate is down in India, not good time to buy or sell the property. Take care

I think it's not practical to buy a house these days. I'd just save up the money
