Trying to get used to a househelp at home

All these years I have always done all the housework on my own. Now because of my ill-health I have had to keep a maid at home. It feels odd being served all my meals and me just sitting in bed and she doing all the work. Guess I will have to get used to it for a few months till the Doctor gives me permission to lead a normal life. Guess this is going to become a new lifestyle for me now.

Yes I need rest and have to prepare myself for my next surgery if needed in a couple of months.

for normal life in future you needs rest at present. Also careful for maid, if possible have verification of her

@anil02 I could not tolerate the maid for too long at that time and finally got rid of her. She would discuss all my home matters with outsiders which I did not like. I did not realize she was listening to my phone conversations and would tell my neighbours about everything that was happening in my life.

Besides getting better I need to loose a lot of weight and that too without doing any exercises coz post surgery the gynaec has not given me permission to exercise.

yes this is true. I don't like a maid either. I like doing things myself but perhaps we will get to the point that we might need one.

It's my first experience of keeping a full-time maid. Though she does not stay home all day she ensures all the work is done in the mornings so that I don't have to do anything myself.
