I want to live in..

...wonderland. My students and I were talking about the old-time story Alice in Wonderland. All of a sudden he interrupted me talking and said, 'I want to live in this place.' I got curious and ask why. He simply explained that his homework is too much to handle every day. Well, I cannot blame him since most Chinese students complain about it very often. I am feeling crazy and told him that he can still have homework in this place. His Chinese teachers will send them to him. If I can only say to him, it is nice to have a holiday in Wonderland to relax and be at peace due to this pandemic. Where do you want to live if there is a chance? Are you planning to live in your hometown forever? Image Credit: media2.giphy.com

Yes, he can still have Homework in Wonderland ! We will most likely stay here for a long while still. I cannot even think of moving anytime soon the way the world is now. Sometimes being on another planet sounds appealing .

@Shavkat He can create his own Wonderland if he does well in school and gets a successful career . We would not travel either, but I will tell you I know so many who are traveling right now .

@much2say I had seen some locals traveling, too. They are so patient enough to secure the travel requirements. For me, I cannot take the risk. I must say that most Chinese young ones do not know their dreams in life. I find it odd when talking with them about this.

I am a killjoy when seeing this to him. He needs to come back to reality and it is a good thing for him to know the differences between reality and not. Even I cannot think of any time traveling to a certain place because of this pandemic.

The only Disneyland that I have been to is in Hong Kong. I like to see the others in the future. It was like living to our own fantasy for being in this place.

I am sure there are no conflicts there if we bring along politicians.

@Shavkat Oh yes! Politicians are always nice. Shaking everyone's hands, always smiling, pats everyone's back etc just to attract our votes

But wonderland got the evil queen and ridiculous rules. I am not sure I want to stay in a place like that.

I am sure there is always a villain in the story. In your own world, we can omit this character.

I wonder where I would have gone if as a young adult I would have had the money to move. Now I am old and happy where I am and will stay here.

Even I cannot move to another city to live in, I am much better at being in my hometown. If it happens, it is only for a matter of having a holiday trip.

I have moved house (cities, countries and continents) quite a bit in the past. I am content with where I live right now. (Not the best but not the worst either.)

I guess you are more comfortable living at your place now. At some point, I was thinking to have two worlds at the same time. Perhaps a place in my city and in the countryside, which is near the beach.
