Saw a serious accident on the way home today

I do hope the person or persons involved will be OK. As I was on Route 33 one of the main roads heading up into this area from Richmond...traffic was just stopped dead. I thought initially it might be road construction, and prepared to wait a bit..but it went on for awhile, then I saw an ambulance with siren blaring speeding down the hill from the opposite direction. Anyway, eventually we were able get underway..and went past the scene of the accident. A car had gone into a tree, and the airbags deployed. It will be totalled.No weather event was responsible nor no curve in the road or anything. Not sure what the story is there.
Of course, their was a major detour as well on the road I usually take home so I had to wait for all of that traffic. There was a ton of traffic on the back road heading up here, when normally you might see one or two cars. All in all, it was about a two hour delay...but at least got home safely..PTL.. The crown went well too, and didn't take a long time. My teeth feel great and now I can chew on that side with ease.

Yes, they really do. He said as long as I don't chew big ice cubes..it should be just fine.

There was probably some degree of injury or the ambulance me wouldn't have had their siren on. If they were just taking someone to get checked out they probably would have had just flashling lights

I could chew on that side, but I felt like I had to be careful, and watch it. Now it feels great.

@snowy22315 I had to have a crown a couple of years ago. The dentist kept poking at the original tooth before he'd put the crown on it. I had no trouble chewing on it, either.

I suppose so..I forgot to listen on the news to see if there was anything about it. They would probably only mention it if there was a fatality.

@snowy22315 In my area the road is shut down when there is a fatality cause the police have to do their work and the road crew clear out the mess. Probably can't move the body until investiations are done.

I hope no one was hurt either. Having to wait in traffic is a pain. Glad you got home safely.
