Internet Provision Blues

My office is offering a reimbursement of the internet bills that we had used for working from home starting last March 2020 to November 2020. It's only a small amount but considering the months covered, its better than nothing. I have my own subscription at home and it seemed tempting to avail the reimbursement because I am entitled to it as well as the others at work who have not stopped working from home no matter how difficult it ahs been. The only issue here is that there are a lot of certifications, and other pertinent documents you need to submit plus considering the lockdown situation we are facing right now. I am now thinking whether to avail it or not because of the stress I have to go through. Would it be worth? (picture from internet)

As you use Internet for your job, I think that it is good to be reimbursed. That is the problem when the companies propose to give you money, plenty of documents to fill.

That is true. It makes me think that it is intentional so that a lot of people wont reimburse!

@LadyDuck This is somehow a bad strategy to make people not to do it anymore

@cherigucchi This is unfortunately what it happens in my native country (Italy), they make things so complicated that people can never be reimbursed.

@cherigucchi I would say if it is too much stress upon the stress you already are feeling I would not do it. It if helps financially then maybe I would do it.

That is a huge return if we are talking about March 2020. At work, those who have internet are getting monthly internet allowance.

I think so especially if the reimbursement made, I mean the documents prepared will be accepted.

I think you should avail of the reimbursement because you are entitled to it. Though it may entail considerable effort to get but it will be worth the effort in the long run.

You can request receipts from your service provider. Don't stress yourself too much. Just prepare the needed documents. What kind of certification do you need? Those are just pieces of paper.

Though they are just pieces of paper, it takes time to compile all of them.

From what you said, the whole thing is not worth it one bit. Every time I was about to calculate the saving, I would always calculate the fee I would need to pay for a few sessions seeing a psychologist. (We had to attend those sessions for some years when we unfortunately got tangled with the family court.)

I think you need to take advantage of it, because it's a form of company care for employees, even though a little might be useful
