I almost said shot, but ya know, I don't wanna tempt fate.
My aunt was telling me about her appointment and I said "Amber, get your lazy behind up and make an appointment." So I did and I have and it's done and I"m glad.
Well, it's not done.. My appt is at 11, but yeah.
I'll probably show up 15 minutes earlyish. I don't know which vaccine I'm getting, but I think it might be the J&J because they didn't ask me to make a second appointment.

I think we have three right now. Miderna, Phizer and J&J. There may be another one, but I'm not sure.
Yes, it was slow going here but now they have opened up for people of my age and health group.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We only have Sinovac and Moderna right now I think. And the supply is still limited

@rakski I believe the supply is limited here, but they are pushing as fast as they can to make it available to everyone. I think President Biden would like the country vaccinated by May.

Yay...it would be nice if it was J and J and you could get it in one fell swoop! My second appt. is tomorrow.

@snowy22315 Thank You! I hadn't even thought of that. It's not sore at the moment at all, but I have been typing, coloring etc, so I guess I've been doing it inadvertently.

I'm getting mine from Harris Teeter pharmacy and If I understand correctly, I would have been prompted to make a secondary appointment today (when I made the first appt.) if it was any of the others. I guess I'll find out in about 40 minutes.

Hopefully, you do not experience any side effects.

I hope not. This one is only supposed to have injection site pain and possibly a fever.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That's the best scenario
. We had early appointments, but for some reason they were running late. So we waited an hour before we actually got it. But well, at least we got it done - part 1 anyway. Our next appointment is scheduled for May 1.

@much2say My friend had to wait like 45 minutes too. I think pharmacies are able to set how many appointments they do each day, but clinics and such probably can't.

It was the J&J for me, and it took less then half an hour. I walked in a few minutes early and they set me up and had me gone in 15 minutes.
So you'll have to wait another week to get the second dose right?

I received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
The shot did not hurt, just pinched. There is some injection site pain, but only a slight pain. The pharmacist had me wait 15 minutes until I could leave.

@ScribbledAdNauseum That`s good. I hope there will be no side effects but still stay safe because we still don`t know how effective the vaccine

Yes, thank you.
I was there for no more than 20 minutes. I arrived early because i was not sure what to expect, but I was the second in line to receive it.

@m_audrey6788 You're right. I will still wear my mask, maintain social distance etc. I will do this until we are told not to anymore.

I believe some people here are going to different counties within their same state. Some counties here did open up vaccinations to surrounding counties because they had so many vaccinations and so few people to give them to.
Here in my state (North Carolina) they opened it up to everyone 16+. We were in Groups at one time, and I was group 5.

Good luck with your appointment today.
They just opened up a place closer to me so now it will be easier to make an appointment and get my shot.

Yay I am so glad!
They have Walgreens, CVS, Harris Teeter (grocery store) pharmacies, hospitals and even the convention center open for vaccines here.

They usually will give you a second appointment after you get your shot. How did it go? Or did you make a later post?

I did make a later post, but I'll tell you here.
It was the J&J shot so only one, and it went well. I arrived early because I expected a long wait but there wasn't a long wait at all. I was the second in line. My arm is a little sore today (it wasn't sore for very long yesterday) but that's normal for me when getting vaccines.

@LindaOHio I am so happy about not having to get that second shot. I'm not afraid of needles, but I don't like them either. I'm also glad I won't have to deal with soreness twice.
I've felt a little lethargic today, but otherwise I'm fine.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah, the sore arm is quite common. At least you don't have to get a second shot.

Well I hope it all went well, I think it did from reading your other discussion though! I haven't decided on getting the vaccine or not.

I felt a little lethargic yesterday and I had a headache but otherwise I was fine.
My poor aunt who has fibro, rheumatoid arthritis, heart problems etc was having a tough time of it.
We both received the J&J.

@MommyOfEli2013 Yeah, I think a person's health has a lot to do with any vaccine to be honest.
My cousin was advised not to get it. My poor aunt had a time of it but she's doing better.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Your response to it seems pretty normal then....I guess it depends on the health of the person getting it?
