Morning Coffee Talk

Happy Tuesday Everyone! the sun is shining!!! a great way to start the day after two days of rain. My daughter in law is in surgery this morning so if you pray please say a prayer for her. I'm trying to keep myself busy today but anxiously waiting to hear from my son You know spring is in the air when you hear those old familiar sounds of the lawn people. They're here this morning getting ready to start the season. I don't exactly know what they're doing but I can hear them. I have a whole bunch of stuff that needs shredding. With all my new organizing plans I keep a small basket on top of the shredder and just throw stuff in it. Every day or every other day I shred everything that's in it. So far it's working very well and I don't have those piles of stuff anymore. Chicken is defrosting and I'm thinking of grilling it and having it with a salad for dinner. Nothing much planned for today. Hope everyone has a good day

It is still overcast here and cold. I just had celery and tomatoes with dip for lunch. I have pork chops thawed for dinner

@Marilynda1225 we eat a lot of pork, it is versatile and affordable and easy in the air fryer.

@BelleStarr pork chops are about the only thing I haven't tried in the air fryer yet.

I love pork chops but haven't had them in ages. I should put them on my grocery list this week and enjoy something different.

I never shred papers, we tie papers together and throw in the paper bin, no one can see our documents there.

@Marilynda1225 We have to separate paper and the paper goes in an enormous bin with an opening on the top, no one can get inside. I burn in the fireplace the financial and too personal documents, you never know.

@LadyDuck we have to recycle paper, cardboard and some plastics . We have a bin designated for such recyclables but it is an open top so it's easily dumped into the recycling truck when it comes around for pickup. That's why I shred anything with my name and address on it or personal information. If I had a fireplace I would burn personal stuff too. My son has a nice fire pit in his backyard where he burns all his personal stuff.

I'm just too leery to throw out stuff with our names, address, etc on it. I put anything like that through the shredder. Everything else goes in the bin

Exactly! Glorious crystal clear sky at last! Prayers just sent. . We’ve only had a spring cleanup and lawn treatment. The grass looks as if should be cut soon. Shredders are the best! Enjoy your day. Walking later with hubs and hopefully a game of tennis.

Hope you're enjoying your day. Thanks for the prayers. My daughter in law is out of surgery and all went well. She had a complicated shoulder surgery and her recovery will be about 12 weeks. Since she's such an active person I don't know how she's going to manage being quiet.

@Marilynda1225 I’m so glad all went well. I meant to ask you this morning when I replied to your post. I hope she heals quickly. Hubs may need shoulder surgery.

@DianneN hope your hubs doesn't need shoulder surgery. My daughter in law dislocated her shoulder and the repair was torn ligaments, they had to put in pins to keep the shoulder in place and I'm not sure about the rest. Thanks for your best wishes and especially your friendship

@DocAndersen glad you clarified that. I'm sure it's great for a fire pit but unfortunately I don't have one. Mine all goes in the recycling pail and out for pickup.

Thank you for you best wishes for my daughter in law. The surgery was successful and she's home recovering now. The doctor said her recovery will take about 12 weeks since it was a pretty extensive shoulder surgery she had.

I have too much to shred that way. I have about ten 13 gal bags but my credit union does shredding twice a year for free and that's next week. You're allowed three or five bags but I plan on having my husband drive also and get rid of them all if at all possible. It rained a little here in Saturday and while it's supposed to rain all week I'm thinking it won't be after all. But time will tell I suppose.

I wish we had the convenience of being able to drop off papers for shredding and have them done by a company. We had that when I was working and it was so easy to just dump stuff in the bin and let them come and take it and shred it.

@Marilynda1225 Call your bank maybe they have it done for their customers and you just don't know. Our business bank also does it but I've never seen when.

Thank You for your prayers and good wishes. My daughter in law is out of surgery now and the doctors said she did good. She had a complicated surgery on her shoulder and recovery will be about 12 weeks. I finally got all my yarn organized in clear containers and organized them by color. Now it's easy to find what I"m looking for.

Thank you and my daughter in law did well with the surgery. Her recovery will be about 12 weeks and since she's an active person I'm sure it will be hard for her to rest and recover (it was a big shoulder surgery)
