Goodbye, leggings!

I have this weekly goal of discarding stuff we no longer need. Other than the usual trash, we've been purging our storage of things we haven't used for years and items that no longer spark interest. It doesn't matter if they are good brands; they gotta go anyway. Last weekend I found three Uniqlo leggings that my girls have outgrown. I showed them the leggings first -- they really love those leggings -- before I handed them to a neighbor who's got 4 small granddaughters. Next week I plan to discard shoes and sandals. What have you discarded or handed down lately?

Glad you are decluttering the home. My daughter and I did the cleaning sometime October last year. We send all the branded clothes for the typhoon victims in the North. Later on, there was an advisement that clothes will not be accepted because of the pandemia. Thus, we ceased donating stuff and sent monetary donations instead.

@almostoveryou As it happens, we have not much to give yet because we have not made clothing purchases in the last six months. Glad your brother has access to the AFP. Our people really needs help. We just give our essential donations to the church and the health centers. The accept toiletries and groceries.

good to know. yes, we heard that clothes won't be accepted anymore (by the office of the VP) due to covid risk. we're coursing another batch to the AFP instead. my brother personally drops off donations there (mostly clothes and emergency stuff)..

that's great. many people would find them useful. my sister in Canada gives away a few clothes during the winter so those who can't get new ones can still feel warm and snug.

@almostoveryou Wait, the story is tedious. A huge roach after I sprayed it trying to kill it headed straight for it and disappeared in it. I hated to do it, but I just threw them, both away.

Too hot to wear leggings these days. My girls wear pajamas now because it's mosquito season. they'd be happy to still wear their leggings it's just that they've outgrown them,

None so far. I already past the phase of outgrowing my clothes. So are the rest of my family. I also rarely buy a new one.

Good for you. I hand down clothes because I occasionally get clothes as gifts. I don't like having too many clothes, so I tend to give some away

I will discard some clothes again tomorrow to the clothes container nearby. My clothes might end up in the Ukay-ukay in the Philippines.

decluttering is a good thing. it makes the closet neater and and makes your heart flutter too when you give those clothes that are not being used :)
