Ceramic Cookware

I was a great fan of ceramic cook wares until I bought. It was bit costly and I heard it, ceramic coated cookware is good for health. So I did not bother about the cost. I bought it online and it reached me safe and good. But within a month it got cracks on the bottom. Yes, I have used it very carefully with wooden spoon.. It had 6 months warranty; with over confidence on the product, I did not keep the card safe. What are the best cook wares in your opinion? Do you have any bad experiences with ceramic cookware? Same as @gamayngbaki, my favorite are heavy steel pans, better if a double bottom, I have them since the day I got married and they are still perfect. I bought one ceramic pan but I do not like it.

Glad to know it dear. Steel pans are also a good option. But the quality does matter.

@LadyDuck I have bought one heavy bottom steel pot and it is still good in shape. Next time I too give importance to quality products. I have seen iron vessels, pre-seasoned one, It is also costly but worth for lifetime.

@Sreekala It is true that steel pots and pans are expensive, but I am using them from 50 years and they still look like new. The ceramic pan did not even last 3 years.

My favorite cook wares are those very heavy made of steel pans and yes even if they are not delicate cookwares I still use a wooden ladle when cooking.

@m_audrey6788 I have to buy some other materials for better result. Iron pre-seasoned may be a good option but its costs too high.

You are right, usually non-stock utensils must change after a particular period of time. Ceramic is also not usable if it is damaged.

Eventually all of this stuff wears out, and usually faster than they say it will. You'd think you'd have gotten more than 6 months though. I just use whatever has the best price when I go shopping for a new piece, and none of my stuff matches.

I got troubled within the week of using it. Thinking who will go for complaining I dropped the idea.

I have used ceramic cookware a few times. And It's only broken once and that was my clumsy fault because I dropped it. I tend to use metal now.

I am talking about the ceramic coated metal cook ware. They do not broke but get damaged on surface.
