Setting Aside your Work for a Favor

I woke up late and had my coffee. I just opened my laptop to start working. I already made plans of the things I am going to prioritize for the day related to work.
Whenever I turned on my laptop, the first thing I do is to check my Facebook Messenger and emails to check on important messages. I read a message from a colleague asking for a favor. He is attending a webinar right now and they will have the closing program which he is asked to give a speech. He's asking me to prepare for him. He sent me the program and the 5-sentence introduction he prepared.
It did annoy me a little because I have already plans for the day but since he is someone whom I can easily ask a favor from especially when it comes to data collection, I am going to help him.
Have you done something like this, setting aside your work to give way for a favor?

Depends on the person and if I have the time to accomidate them. I'm not a rigid person in general, so most of the time, I will.

That is right. Since the eprson also helps me in a way, there is no doubt that I am going to give time.

I might would have been a little irritated too, but if he is someone you can get a favor, you never know you might need his help.

If the person is trustworthy I will help. But I have to tell that person that the next time he will ask me a favor, he needs to make sure that I don't have other things on my plate.

Its a good thing that the person who asks me also does me some favors especially work-related. He also asks me to have some time to do it when I am not that busy. No pressure.

Nothing like that before and with what I do for work out would be hard to cancel work for that reason unless my daughter needed a babysitter or something like that.

Thanks. I do not mind though at times it annoys me especially when I already have things to do beforehand.

For three weeks last month, I had to stop almost everything to help a young relative out with her school project. The problem was, she didn't know exactly what she must do. A long story, but in the end, she handed hers in (one of the best in her class).
