Brendel and The Dude Sleeping Together

After a restless night, my two cats are sleeping the day away.
Snapped this photo of them together on the sofa.
Looks like the Dude is taking care of his older sister Brendel.
They are not always best buddies, but they seem to be today.
Maybe he knows she is not feeling well.

@CarolDM Hmmm, that can't be pleasant. My former cat I think may have had some weak lungs. He always snored. Nico never has. They do have home O2 machines for kitties. Maybe a treatment once or twice a week would do her wonders.

@snowy22315 That has been suggested and they have done treatments in the office, but three had to hold her down. If the episodes get closer together I will invest in a mask and albuterol. I keep a close eye on her.

She has had chronic bronchitis for a few years now. Steroids didn't help. She couldn't tolerate side effects. She has had many tests to get to the diagnosis. They thought it was asthma, but it was not. She has breathing issues and coughing episodes, sometimes throwing up.

Animals sense when another pet or person in the family isn't feeling good. Puffer my dog was so kind and sympathetic, whenever one of us got sick! Did you realize that animals can have allergies? Kobe gets a stuffy nose, during the summer.

That reminds me of how Precious and Chilly would act. Chilly, who wasn't much of a box cat, would cuddle up with Precious when he'd hide in his carrier when he wasn't feeling well. I miss my budy, Precious so much.

@CarolDM I think anyone who's ever owned a pet in their lifetime has lost at least one. It's funny that after three years, I'm running into things that remind me of him.

They look so sweet there. Pretty and Ghost had a big argument earlier today. So they are avoiding each other now. Real sisters but about 4 years apart.
