Since my last post the kiddo has had 2 breaks from school. Each a week long. I did my best to keep her entertained. There was a lot of outdoor activity. She loves being outdoors. She has a friend that we visited while on break. Celebrated Little Miss's 6th birthday last weekend. Invited a few people for a party. There was about 12 people in attendance, all wore masks and maintained social distances. We froze our booties off because it was a bit on the chilly side and quite windy. Hubby got a new driving job with a great company. They are located in Superior, Michigan. He spent 3 weeks in Minnesota for training and then was assigned his own truck. Was away from home for nearly 4 weeks. He was able to be home for Easter. I got my second Moderma vaccine on Thursday afternoon. On Friday I was down for the count. Dropped Little Miss off at school and came home, landed in the recliner and was there until I had to pick her up at 2:15. Came home, crashed again until I needed to make dinner. After dinner I headed to my bed. I ached from head to toe and was chilled to the bone. Slept solid for an hour and woke feeling better. Today, I am feeling great. Even though I felt horrible yesterday, I am glad I got the vaccine. Hubby should be home today for about 34 hours straight! He is about an hour away now. He has a designated route that brings him home at least once a week. Happy for that. The sun is shining bright today. Temperatures are supposed to be lovely today and through next week. Going to enjoy this weather while I can. It can change on a dime. Hope you are all in good health and spirits.

Nice that your hubs is working for a great company, that makes a huge difference when our men are happy. You really reacted to your vaccine, I haven't had a shot as of yet, they are not down to my age group, so I have no experience with it. My hubby's company has a $100 incentive for the employees to get vaccinated. He is getting one, once they cover our age group, so the money will not make or break his decision. My company pays us 4 hours to go and get our shot, but it sounds like I will need another day paid for the after effects.

My son and his wife are getting theirs and I advised them that they should schedule the second shot for different days just in case. That way if one is sick the other can care for their 3 year old son.

My friend's doctor said the key to less after effects is to drink water like crazy. He said drink tons before, after, and for the next day, to drink as much as possible.

I'm glad everything is going well with you and your family. Pretty and I got our first shot of Moderna on the 20th. She had an upset stomach, headache and arm ache for a couple of days. I was extremely tired and slept for most of two days.

I tried to convince myself that I wasn't going to have any reaction other than my arm hurting. Then bam!

@ElusiveButterfly I didn't want to get the vaccine but Pretty talked me into it. Then she got sick and all I got was sleepy and HUNGRY! I was told the second shot is worse. I really hope not.

@DaddyEvil some don't get any side effects. I got slammed with nausea as well. Just kept popping the acetaminophen and pounding the water and was fine by the end of the day. Hubby won't get the vaccine yet because he needs to be on the road and can't get sick. I told him we could schedule it for when he is home on a 34 hour stint.

I'm glad you're okay now. It seems you were really knocked for six after your second shot. We still have to get ours.

I was better at 7:00 that night. No headache and the fatigue and muscle aches were gone. I was also glad that the body chills I had were gone too. Hope you are able to get your vaccine soon!

@ElusiveButterfly Welcome back. How was the weather when he was in Minnesota? I was born there and the winter is so so harsh. So so sorry how the shot affected you.So glad you are feeling better and so glad you feel that it was worth getting the shot. I am glad he will be home to be with you for 34 hours. Yes, weather can change whenever it wants to. Take care and stay safe.

The weather was similar to the East coast. Cold, but he had some really nice weather before we got any!! He will be leaving here tonight at about 11:00 to head back. It is a long week while he is away.

Things are going well. She enjoys being in school 4 days a week. Wednesday is remote day, not a fun day for either of us. But, I do encourage her to try hard to complete her work and she gets rewarded with table time.

Even better is the fact that this company has work for him every week! The last company sent him on jobs only once or twice a month.

Six already? I remember when she was two and three. Time flies. I'm glad she had a good birthday party. I'm glad you're doing well now after the vaccine. It's good he'll be home for the next couple of days before he heads out again. I'm glad he's enjoying the job.

Thank you for the recipe!! I only have to purchase the almond butter and flour. Her past birthdays came up in my Facebook memories. Made me cry. I have given her a party for each of her 6 birthdays!
