Day 258 Promise 726 1 John 4:6 We are of God: he who knows God hears us; he who is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. One of the biggest complaints is that people don’t listen. They don’t hear when you talk to them. They ignore what you say, and they go about their lives in total ignorance of the truth. John told the believers those who listened to them, knew God. Those who didn’t, don’t know God. It was their way of knowing who belonged to God and who didn’t. As Christians, you see the same thing in the world today. You know those who will listen when you tell them about God and His Son, Jesus. They will eat every word you tell them and accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Their lives will change as they get to know Him. The same is true about those who reject God and Jesus, His Son. They won’t listen. They’ll believe everything else but the truth. The lies they believe are easier than the truth they scoff at. Satan paints a picture for them that sounds good to their ears. Jesus said when you know the truth, it will set you free. Satan keeps people in darkness so they don’t see or hear the truth. John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (KJV) What are you listening to? Does it inflame your spirit with the Word of God so you want to go out and change the world? Let’s pray: Father, let Your Word go deep in my spirit to the point where I want to go out and change the world for You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
