Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters
Lately, I always give time to Video call my mother and we talk about many things she had been doing for a day. Seeing her being so happy and doing ok makes me feel good. However, there are times that we run out of things to talk about and just let the video call run and we show what we are doing for the day. It feels like my mom is still around with me.
How about you my dear mylotters? Do you run out of what to talk about when you had a Video call with your friends, relatives or family?

It depends... If I video call someone, it tell them what I called about, give them time to tell me what they've been doing and then end the call. If they call me, they tell me the reason they called and then I hang up.
I've only ever had one video call and that was from a friend in India. He and I talked for a long time until my internet blinked and the call cut off. I tried to call him back but the internet went off again. I sent him a text explaining what had happened.

Yes. I think I do that with my friends too. I only call them when I have something to tell them Then reason out for something else to do to end the call Thank you

Now that you know that this can happen, you can use it as an excuse if you want to end a video call and don't know how to get out of it. You just end it yourself and then send an e-mail claiming that the internet went off.
Some years ago there was a man in our town, a car dealer, from the same part of Italy as my husband. He often wanted to talk to my husband in their local dialect. He was a No 1 blabbermouth and not too intelligent. He saw himself as highly intelligent, though.
If my husband wasn't at home, he talked to me instead telling me a lot of nonsense - mainly bragging - I didn't want to hear. How could I get out of such conversations? I opened the door to our flat and rang the bell and then told him that I had to stop because the bell had rung and I had to go to the door. I even shouted something down the staircase he could hear.
It didn't happen often, I don't think that he became suspicious.

our problem is too many places (5) connecting for the call. It is a lot of talking!

Oh ok. That`s nice. Talking with many people on a video call keeps the conversation longer. Is it hard to end the call?

Sometimes we do. Then there are other times where it seems like we could go on for hours.

I have two that I video chat with regularly (my son and one of my cousins). Our conversations can go on for upwards of five hours, and usually end when we realize we are dozing off.

It never happens to me.
My mom always has something to gossip about or someone.
He collects this gossips from different sources of family and eagerly tells me all about it when I call.
Even though I every day call her
She has not been keeping well this past few days and because of that she speaks very less now.

I don't do video calls with friends or family, but if I did I'm sure I'd run out of things to say. There would probably be many awkward silent moments!

I usually not able to listen properly on video calls as my kids keep shouting near me and try to catch the glimpse of the person I am talking to. Sometimes just demand that they want to talk. So nowadays I prefer audio calls only that too when kids are sleeping or playing religiously
