Lookout!!!! Mountain!!!!!

Instant update time. Oh, what a lovely day.
Yesterday I mentioned one of my favorite drives, along the Tennessee River. Well, there it is....from the top of Lookout Mountain.
That’s not a warning (“lookout!!! Mountain!!!!”). It’s a gorgeous high point over Chattanooga where a crucial battle in the Civil War occurred in 1863. There’s part of the National Battlefield there, complete with layouts and descriptions of the battle and a number of cannons.
Oh, did you happen to notice there’s some incredible views?
More later. I found a Chuy’s in Chattanooga and I’m going to go torture them!

I’ve been to Tennessee but not to Lookout Mountain. The Smoky Mountains are pretty too.

I go to the Smokies at least three times a year. Last year I went six times.

I remember when many many years ago we took our small children to Lookout Mountain. Sounds like you're still having a great adventure!

Lookout Mountain is beautiful. I have been there many times, but not in the past 3 years or so. I especially enjoy it in the fall when the leaves change!
