Do you know Sour Shrimp with Radish Soup?

Germany
April 30, 2021 4:42am CST
Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters I woke up in a cloudy and windy kind of weather just like yesterday afternoon. I was not able to have a good walk because I`m not comfortable walking with a strong wind. It`s ok. I still did my dancing exercise When the weather is cold and windy, I love some sour soup to sip in This Sour Shrimp with Radish Soup I learned from my mother was really simple although the ingredients are not all available here in my place. I bought the sour powder at an Asian store and other ingredients like ``kang kong`` which is from the Philippines. I just fry the shrimp with garlic and onion. Then pour a liter of water, fish sauce and the sour powder, let it boil for 5 minutes and then put the sliced Radish and let it boil for a while about 2minutes and then put the ``sliced kangkong``, chopped tomatoes, aubergine and okra let it heat for a minute . There you have it. I usually eat it with steamed Rice. It is great How about you my dear mylotters? Do you know Sour Shrimp with Radish Soup? Would you like to give it a try? What are you having for today? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day and Happy mylotting Photo: google

A Filippino/US family gave us a bowl of that (or something very similar) when we visited the Philippines and stayed at a Shangri-La Hotel as them. A very yummy dish.

This one's a new one on me. Not sure it sounds particularly good, honestly. Not the shrimp part. But the sour part. But I can't knock it having not tried it, and many things that don't sound appetizing are actually quite good.
