Today my friend announced her wedding. She is like my college best friend. Her wedding is on 23th May. I'm super excited. Unfortunately she is doing a small wedding only 10 people allowed as per rules. Which means she couldn't invite me. It's a bit sad I've been waiting for that day simce a very long time. But I'll handle the saddest and focus on her happiness. I'm so happy that she is finally getting married. It made me think of my wedding day. I was a different kind of bride. I really wanted to get away from home and live with my would be. Do you remember your wedding day? How was it?

I had a small, afternoon church wedding. New carpeting for the church had arrived the day before, but was full of cuts. So, the floor was still bare and sticky. As my grandfather and I walked down the aisles, our shoes stuck in some of the glue and made squishy sounds as we walked. The videographer had to back out, because she came down with the flu. So, nothing was videotaped. It was drizzling as my husband carried me across the threshold. Then, twelve years later, we divorced. But, I am not going to go into that.

Weather wise, the wedding day was a disaster, so we were afraid that it was a bad sign, as it turned out it was not a bad sign as we have been happily married for decades.

I remember my wedding day. My husband and I decided to do a legal court house afair. I wore jeans and a speggeti strap shirt and he wore his dad's lucky shirt and pants. We were also headed out of town because of reasons... I wish I knew what. I just remember getting married made us late. Well... woops....

My husband and I eloped. His best guy friend and his wife were the only two witnesses.
