I really didn’t intend to come home, but with the weather forecast drawing severe potential all over the place I decided I’d rather be home. Perfect timing, too: the oil change notification dinged on my car. It wasn’t nonstop driving: I did eat. I also stopped at a rest area in North Carolina, near Asheville, and took a nap. And, aren’t you proud of me: I actually did NOT stop at the Smokies exit! Thanks for coming along on the ride with me.

I gather more big storms are expected. And well done for not stopping at the Smokies exit.

That tornado warning I was near in Charlotte may have had something to do with it.....

Think of all the beautiful scenery you're forcing us to miss out on... I don't know how you feel justified in treating us this way. I'm glad you made it home safely.
