Done with breakfast, made the list...

Good morning from this side of the planet.. it's 10:30 AM as I write this post. I woke up at 5 AM and happy to be back on my sleep wake rhythm. Done with my pranayam ( breathing exercises), some light yoga poses and meditation. Made a good breakfast for my family and we had good satisfying breakfast meal after a long time. We had idli ( steamed rice and black lentils cake), Sambhar ( spicy lentil soup with loads of veggies) and coconut chutney. Well, our taste buds and tummy are happy to have our staple breakfast back to table. Husband helped with dishes post breakfast while I folded laundry. Then I made the list for the items..grocery, fruits, veggies and medicines that we need it for next three days. Our building is a cluster of covid patients and the whole building is under seal. Covid response team delivers our essentials and collects our garbage in a special bag every third day and tomorrow is the day. The Google form is opened now and we can keep adding to our list till 8 PM tonight. Well, I guess I have not missed anything and I might add a few as it pops up in our mind. Salute to these volunteers in this team for their relentless services since the beginning of pandemic last year. I am also on the team but not of much help right now as I am in a quarantined building and also recovering from Covid. Last year I helped throughout with providing few healthy meals to sick families. Now I need to relax for a while here and then maybe I will do some more light chores if my body allows. Hope all is good in your mylot corner. Stay safe and healthy

I hope that the rate of infection would lower the soonest. That's a terrible situation.

It's getting better since last two days. Hope the trend continues. But still it's a huge number there as we have a huge population density. So far it is a relief that the recovery rate is good and many are getting recovered in home isolation. Despite of that due to our population and infrastructure, health care in our country and frontline workers are overworked and exhausted.

@arunima25 Yes, I feel sad for the healthcare people they're overworked due to call of duty. I hope they get enough protection and compensation too.

@ZedSmart Yes, they are getting it. But it's an emotional overwhelming too there. And sadly some are targeted by relatives of patients out of emotional outburst. People sometimes loose calm under a crisis

Did you get breakfast all together? I am sure it was a very nice moment after such a long time. I am glad that you have this delivery service, at least you can have what you need.

@LadyDuck They have been working relentlessly and tirelessly since last year. I hope that I would be able to join them back soon. I was on team but then I got the virus. They need helping hands as more cases are coming in the premise. Today I saw in the group that few more people have joined the team

Yes, now we are going around house without masks, having meals together but maintaining a bit of distance. This team is really working tirelessly and relentlessly since last year to help all residents when they are infected. God just bless them.

Many states are now showing plateau while many new have spiked up. Karnataka is now going Maharashtra way and Bangalore is the new hotspot. We too have a two week complete lockdown from Monday. Hope things take a better turn soon. Are you vaccinated??

@anil02 We are doing good. Our recent blood reports show all good and no infection or inflammation in body. So that's a good sign. The numbers in Bangalore is more as many are getting tested. And BBMP is testing everyone in building if they find few cases. So even asymptomatic are being recognised. Also people are more responsible here and they get tested as soon as they get symptoms or even when they are having no symptoms but have come in contact.

Hope you are getting back to normal health. I have mostly oat meal and nuts and raisins for breakfast. The pandemic is not letting go, holding us under its thumb. It is time also to unite forgetting the petty peeves of normal days. I buy fruits and a few other items daily for the cleaning ladies of the apartment complex.

@arunima25 So kind and thoughtful of you. Though we should not blow our own trumpet, such compassionate acts need not be hidden. I have been donating monthly/yearly in India and Singapore, and have not stopped even after my retirement. One rich man asked, "how much should I give?". The reply was "just enough to hurt your pocket!" Now I respond to those who I see in front of me rather than get taken in by aggressive marketing that we see everywhere. This phase of covid is really aggressive. Some are put through the wringer leaving them exhausted. I saw Tendulkar's photo and he looked haggard. Looks like one can run but cannot hide from this stalker. I am taking some drinks supposed to boost immunity and with both the jabs, a bit more confident.

@Shiva49 I totally resonate with you. And my husband is on same page. By God's grace we have risen from a humble background to this level. And we do give back to society in all possible ways. We have three foster children whom we have fully supported so far. I do lots of charity and fund raising programs for the NGO that I am associated with working for disabled and special needs people. Many of my posts keep mentioning it from time to time One of my foster daughter got married couple of years back. I had made a post here about that. Husband was sponsoring her before our marriage. My younger daughter goes to Balvikas classes and I get to do some seva service every now and then for them. This is a part of that. My younger daughter and her friends also do a lot of charity for orphanage and cancer patients. It gives a lot of inner satisfaction. From next week, I am giving two hours in a week for story telling to few special needs children in the NGO who have been rescued as covid orphans. I am giving an hour each on Tues and Thurs afternoon. And I hope to gain my strength soon and join back the covid response team of apartment and help covid infected families in our premise. I am glad that you are vaccinated. I have to wait till June and we are going to get the registration done next week. The more people get vaccinated, the faster we can control the pandemic.

My health is getting better each day. Slow and steady inching towards complete recovery. Breakfast is the most important meal in my house. We have toast, cereals etc on weekends when we go for a brunch. Else it's idli, upma, chilka, dosa etc..For ys dinner is the lightest and easiest. We can manage with anything.. mostly leftovers from day time. You are doing a very kind thing for those cleaning ladies. From the beginning of pandemic, I take seva service twice a month to cook, pack and parcel food to migrant labourers or relatives of covid patients in hospital. I make meal for 30 people on these two days

Well, our population is huge. We have vaccinated more than 17 crores people as of today. And that would be combined population of few countries together. But that's a small proportion of our huge population. It's a herculean task and the pace is picking up. Numbers are fluctuating and still it's a high number. We hope it gets better soon. Many states are showing plateauing in curve but then a few are showing spikes. So still can't say anything. Staying strong and fighting it. We all hope that the virus is soon controlled all over the world. Till it doesn't get controlled all over, no country has won the war against the virus.

They are doing it selflessly, tirelessly and relentlessly since last year. God bless them. Hope I recover well with my energy back and join them again soon. They definitely need more helping hands as more and more cases are reported each day in our complex.

Good morning from the same side of the planet. Good to hear you do yoga. that's nice. I do agree with you on that, salute to these fighters who are willingly putting their lives on the frontline, for us. That's a nice thing you did last year. Good to hear. You to stay safe.
