Couriers.. couriers and more couriers

We are in the midst of a severe Covid 19 wave.
We are getting all our groceries and even other things like medicines online.
However, due to the non-availability of slots on a few sites as well as not all things available on a single site, I had to give multiple orders.
The problem is that multiple times in a day, courier person(s)come, we ask them to drop things just outside the door, pick and keep in a place. Then wash hands with soap.
Doing it once or twice a day is fine, but doing so many times is maddening.
Sigh..
Just hoping for better conditions.

Where I live there are no couriers. I either go get it myself from the post office or we have to get things from the grocery store. (Even non-grocery items are shipped to the grocery store for pickup.) I don't like being among so many people to pick my things up... If I wanted to go into the store, I wouldn't have ordered them online. *sigh*

So can't you talk to someone from these companies to have the goods delivered at your doorstep?

@DaddyEvil
Is it because of lesser number of people around your house?

You're dealing with what the United States (as well as other countries) had to learn to deal with last year. Be thankful that the couriers are available! I hope things improve there soon too.

Yes at least they are timely available.
Last year, we had containment zones in some crowded and other areas in big cities where such deliveries were either restricted or disallowed.
People living there had to undergo hardships.

Yes here such areas have normal postal access but not too much of courier service.

Pitiful, but India is getting much needed help. Glad you're getting supplies in though from several places... hope things get better & safer sooner. Take care. I saw request for prayers for India, at my facebook page.

After hearing of airborne transmission, we are extra cautious and avoiding going out.
Yet it is not easy to do.

One day, there were so many orders coming in that I had to get up from audio meetings 3 or 4 times.
Hoping for things to get better.

Cannot do groceries online because courier is not available so we need to go to supermarket to buy personally.

We also relied on couriers or home deliveries when we had our lock down in fact up to now we still avail of these couriers to deliver some of our food stuff. I really hope your situation there will improve soon.

It is disturbing as well. Sometimes, I have to get up in the midst of the meetings.
The person on the other side of the call might not always appreciate it.
