First of all, my apologies to the MyLotter that has bad memories associated with this song!
My husband watches Star Trek: Enterprise 6 nights a week; and this is the theme song for the show; so this song is in my head many, many days.
"Where My Heart Will Take Me" (previously called "Faith of the Heart") is sung by Russell Watson, an English tenor who was born November 24, 1966. He sounds very much like Rod Stewart; and it's not surprising that Rod covered this song as well. Watson first gained prominence in 1999 when he sang "God Save the Queen" at the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final.
The "Enterprise" album, which contains music from the Star Trek show, was released in 2002. "Where My Heart Will Take Me" was included in Watson's "Encore" album.

Great song! When we watched reruns of Enterprise I could not get the song out of my head and I tended to sing it when the credits rolled.

Sometimes the brain picks out songs from the deepest recesses. I was singing "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" the other day. That might be a post coming up soon!
