Popularity is not a synonym for Sanity!

Robert Reich (MoveOn.org) says Tucker Carlson is the most popular TV host in the country. Eh! He might be popular but I can think of a few people I would rather listen to. Larry King, Ted Koppel, Barbara Walters, Bill Kurtis, David Frost, Dick Cavett, Paul Harvey, Johnny Carson. I know some of these people are dead. But I'd rather listen to their old recorded TV shows than listen to Tucker Carlson! Mr. Carlson's has been with FOX News since 2016. His popularity is being measured by the number of viewers that tune in to watch his show. First of all, the term "popularity" sort of implies that people like you and believe you and hang on your every word. Viewer count is not necessarily an accurate measurement. Some people might listen in because they want to know what “the voices that are NOT in their head” are saying. * * * Daily babbling.
Sean Hannity finds himself in familiar territory as of late: second place.

I caught a portion of Carlson's show on YouTube. Realised what they say about Fox is true and avoid him and it like the plague. Fox used to be available over here, but they fell foul of broadcasting standards and eventually packed up operations

I was not familiar with him until this election. Hubby started watching him and when he does I watch with him.

I never heard of him. I guess that means he's not popular with me.

The only name that rings a bell in my mind is Johnny Carson, I am sure it was broadcast outside UK and USA many years ago and I saw some shows.

The talk shows that you mentioned who are no longer with us were great since they respected themselves on their shows without saying profane words.
