Yesterday I was writing up a grocery list. I was also thinking about possible snacks to bring on tomorrow's road trip. Hubby does not want me to know how he worries about me- him home babysitting the crew and me miles away in who knows what traffic situations? He suddenly said: "Buy a bag of potato chips!" He has sat beside me in our little car, handing me snacks, engaging me in conversation as I admit to being tired. So I bought a few snacks while I was out this morning. This afternoon I took the car to the mechanic and let him check it out. All he could find was that it was due for an oil change. I had Rufus dog with me. We paced the lobby and waited for the news. Bored pup and bored human: a good scenario when it comes to caring for the car. Silly little car was made in 2004 but it keeps on chugging.

I wonder what kind of snacks would help keep you alert, I know that when I eat meats and such it tend to get sleepy so those kinds of snacks wouldn't be good.

Rebelann I bought some little cookies from the bulk section of the store. I thought about buying some caramel corn but I choke easily on that- obviously not a good idea when I'm driving.
