From my daughter

These seem to be all the iris from my daughter that will bloom this year. I think they are so pretty.
I believe the yellow ones are more native or true to species iris, and the bigger, frillier ones are hybrid or results of some selective breeding.
I also have another color from Mary Ann. I will put it in another post.
It is a fun and colorful year for iris blooms.

Thanks, it is fun to have them all coming out. I also really like that they are shared from her and from other friends.

Do you live near any public gardens or does the place you stay have flowers? I always think of Florida as having lots of growing things.

@GardenGerty there is no garden where I live and I have no idea where there might be a public garden. I will have to look into that,

I need to send her a picture. She moved last summer, but I got these before she totally moved.

I have some yellow ones out front but can't really see them from inside the house. I do miss my purple Siberian irises, though. I had brought some with me when i moved but they were vandalized by squirrels and now are no more.

I have seen small dark purple ones as well. My younger sister always called them "species iris" and they were some of the first to bloom.
