My little niece introduced me to "Kawaii" a few years ago, which is a popular Japanese culture that means "Cute." Think Hello Kitty and similar animations. As I said in my previous post, I like colorful things, they make me happy. But cute things, such as Kawaii, also make me happy. It's just a nice aesthetic in a world that can be pretty negative at times. So when I found about the Kawaii Box, which is a subscription box, I just had to have one. Of course, we needed to research it first to ensure it wasn't a scam or whatnot, and it's fine. For those who have read my posts, you know my Mom had been dealing with bumps in the road (health-wise) for the last month. I've been helping her with a lot of stuff, i.e., helping her use the stairs, getting her water, etc. I'm NOT the ONLY one who has been helping her, but I'm in the living room with her most of the time, so of course, I help her. Plus, she's bought stuff for other people in the household, as they're all into subscription boxes and whatnot. Even my Mom enjoys horror movie-themed boxes lol. But she decided I deserve a box too; a gift for helping her out so much. My older sister helped her order me a Kawaii Box as a surprise, and it arrived on Sunday. I don't feel like listing everything, so I made a collage of it. I don't know many of the characters, but I don't care, it was full of cute things! :) I think my favorite items are the Keroppi pen (the frog from Hello Kitty) and the stickers. There are stickers of little teddy bears in there, and some are peeking out of a coffee cup. AAAH, SO CUTE. :) I love it! And the pen is perfect for my new planner. Also, how cute is that towel? I kind of don't want to use it because I'm afraid I'll ruin it. I really appreciated the surprise from my Mom, and I'm planning to get another box. They sent me a code to receive a free gift with my next purchase, plus I can find a coupon for a new subscriber (as I would be ordering it from my own account). They also accept PayPal, so I can do the Pay In 4 method. :) I'll be ordering it this week, possibly tonight. The June theme is "Staycation" and I have until May 31st to order it. I'd rather do it soon, so they don't run out. But yeah, I'm really happy about it. I doubt I'll get it every month, but it may be something I treat myself to every few months. If I get the next box, or whatever box I order, maybe I'll do another post for it. :) P.S. - My Mom is doing so much better! :) I still help her on the stairs at night, just because it gives ME peace of mind, but during the day she does a lot more on her own. Alrighty, I have to get ready to head out. Take care, everyone! :) Photo Credit: I snapped the photos of my Kawaii Box, and I used Fotor Collage to create the college.

First, that's good to hear she is doing much better....and that's great that you help her with that at night, and everything. Sounds like a very nice surprise with this box! It does look like very cute items! Hope you enjoy any boxes you get from them in the future! I am also curious about the horror movie themed boxes - that sounds like my kind of box! lol
