My hubby is not a pet lover. Really. He hates cat because when he was young a stray cat ate his pet birds. But he was not able to say no to his kids adopting Charlie. We found Charlie at our garage one night and thought he was a cat. No one claimed him so we took care of him.
Though hubby was not really fond of pets, he is the one always reminding me day in and day out if I feed them and gave them water though I already feed them. The past nights, he asked me if I already feed Charlie.
This made us remember Charlie more.

Pets often chose us, and know where they are the most safe.

Maybe he doesn't hate them, he just doesn't like them.

@rakski What were you feeding him? They need quite a bit of water.

@rakski As young as he was, those foods wouldn't be digestible. A baby rabbit needs mother's milk.
