It's 10:30 and we are back from church. This is the first time I have been into my parish since New Year's Day 2020, it felt good and strange at the same time. We didn't have to wear a mask. Some people did, others didn't. We wore ours in and out but took them off in the pew.
It is going to be very warm today. I have an article due tomorrow that I need to write. Yesterday we went to Kasey's for a birthday party for Josh. It was lovely.
We went out to breakfast yesterday morning with Irene and she then came over and beat me two games of Scrabble.
Friday Al had a PT appointment and we like his therapist very much. She is into lots of different therapies and Al felt comfortable with her as did I.
Other than that, it is a quiet weekend. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

We spent part of yesterday with our son and daughter-in-law. I t was so nice, and alot of fun.
This morning we were up and out the door early, we played a round of golf together, the first time since last summer.
It got very hot out on the course, and I was wearing mint green, which normally looks really good with my colouring, but it also really showed how red I was by the time I got into the SUV to come back home again.
I hope that Josh had a great birthday.
Its important and wonderful that both you as well as Al feels comfortable with the new PT. My mother's illness is taking its toll on her, she hasn't eaten anything in 2 weeks.

Thank you , yes he is almost back to before Covid Al, this is live able. We went out to lunch with my friend Cindy. So glad you got to be with your son and DIL and it must have felt good to play golf again.

@BelleStarr It was good to spend some quality time with our son and daughter-in-law.
And its always better when you have to deliver bad news that you do it in person. He took the news about Grandma much better then I initially thought that he would.

I am glad you finally got to go to your church in person, I know from all the people I know who are Catholic that it's very important to be in their churches when ever there is a service, some of my friends even go for a Wednesday mass if they can. I don't know if that's typical Catholic, just that people I know do that.

@rebelann possibly but it might just be the day their parish has a daily mass. Many places are so short of priests that they only have one weekday mass.

I don’t know about Wednesday being particularly special
But lots of my friends do daily mass. It was good to get there so many friends!!

It sounds as if life is getting back to nearly normal for you. It is important to like and be comfortable with someone who is your PT.

He was perfect yesterday it was amazing today his legs are a little rubbery but he is mentally fine. I have been praying a lot of thank you!! And thank you for your prayers!!

@1creekgirl Today was not as good of a day but compared to how bad some days were at the worst it is very manageable. His legs are just very weak and his balance is bad but he is himself

@bellestarr We still must wear masks all through Church so the service only lasts 30 minutes. We had a birthday bash too - my father is now 90.

Some people kept their masks on but were vaccinated so I felt fine with mine off

@BelleStarr - It does feel good going back to church, doesn't it? Our church as been holding outdoor services in the parking lot, here in Southern California. We have all worn masks, pairs of chairs were set 6 feet apart, but we were close enough to chat before and after services. Our church recently started having indoor services, too, but they are keeping the outdoor service for a while longer. My husband and I have enjoyed the outdoor service and will continue to do that as long as they hold it.

I watched Mass on TV for the last year and more but it does feel good to celebrate indoors. Our infection rate is below 1% in CT so it is feeling pretty safe inside. It did take a lot of nerve last week to actually go inside lol

@BelleStarr - I think that those of us who are fully vaccinated are pretty safe, but not 100%. My husband and I are still doing as much as possible outdoors, but we are getting braver. In the past week, my husband and I have eaten twice on the outdoor patio of a restaurant! We would not even do that last winter, when 100,000 people a month were dying of Covid. Our church offers an indoor service now, but my husband and I still attend the outdoor one. We are not quite ready to go indoors unless we have to.

Didn't do much, the weather is quite warm..Did a lot of cooking. Some for next week..Its going to be hot. I hate to cook when it's hot weather. Seems like your house never really gets cool. Glad you had a good weekend.

You've got a busy weekend yet it was so very productive. It was nice bonding on weekends spending time with the love ones and enjoying the moment. You've got also beat the deadline.
