Question: What are some of your own safety rules?

There are so many safety rules that I follow. It is a must to follow the health protocols when going out from the house. Despite being vaccinated with the first shot, I was advised to continue using the face mask, face shield, and use ethyl alcohol. In the house, we need to keep on maintaining the cleanliness and spray Lysol within the four corners of the place. Any safety rules that you follow religiously? Image Credit: i0.wp.com

Even after you've gotten the second shot, you'll still need to wear the mask outside... The vaccination doesn't work on the new versions of Covid.

I agree. I had read some articles that experts claimed this fact.

Oh, that is good you had your first vaccine. I am quite sure you are at least safer than everyone else who has not received it yet. Although I believe you still need to cover your face still since this vaccine does not guarantee full protection from the virus but will just protect you from getting the worst symptoms it can give you. So better practice the necessary health protocols still to avoid getting infected by it until the virus will not be able to find the next victim.

It is one of my doubts why it needs to wear these protective gears. Moreover, I realized that it needs to. I guess I was lucky to have it. It was an unexpected one.

@Shavkat Yeah I guess we have to get used to it for a bit longer despite getting the vaccine. It is not 100% immunity that you can get from the vaccine but just protection for you getting the worst of the symptoms and avoiding hospitalization. I think when the majority of the population has it then the virus will be weakened already then we can safely say we can remove those masks and gears to protect us.

@rsa101 I hope that we can have 100% efficiency. I heard that Pfizer is 95% but on the downside you need to have a booster yearly.

Currently I am staying at home and if I step out face mask is a must. The keeping sanitizer is another safety measure. Once back to home, handwashing with soap/liquid soap then take a bath and washing all cloths.

Just the rules enstilled in me as a child. Wash before a meal (don't always do that one) wash before touching raw meat (very good about that one) Listen for traffic when crossing the street. Be cautious when talking to strangers. I have never been a neat freak, but I will do dishes. I'm also good at washing the laundry twice a week, and cleaning the stove with water and soap almost daily. Other than that, I don't do anything. The world has always been a dirty place. There are far worse viruses than COVID, and I'm not going to stop living as a result.

You live near a lot more people than I do, I think. I am fortunate in that I live on a few acres with just my husband. When I go to town to a grocery store I wear a mask and keep my hands clean, staying away from others.

I think you are lucky. If we can get our four hectares in the country, it will be a good place to stay safer for the family. While living in the city, we need to stay away from a crowded place as much as possible.

That's the safest thing to do. However, it is inevitable to go out to buy something for the family.
