They remembered

The family remembered to send trunks and swim diapers for my student. Because of his disability he will always wear diapers. It is important to have the right ones in the pool.
So for over an hour he got to kick and splash and totally wear himself out. He wears a flotation device and I would guide him as he floated and splashed around the pool.
I am ready to call it a night. It is hard work, but also it is fun.
My photo album/scrapbook that I made for C---came out really cute. I know his family will love it.

The student definitely got a kick out from playing in the pool.

Yes, he did. Hopefully next year it will happen more often.

@BarBaraPrz I am not sure. I like to play with words, though.

@wolfgirl569 Yes, that is great too. I took swimming as a required PE class in college.I was eighteen when I learned.

How deep was the water? Did you get a chance to kick your heels, too?

It is a regular pool. I did not take him in over about 5 feet. I did from time to time push him, kind of like a paddle board and kick my heals. I also would tow him some.

I cannot put pictures of students up on the internet without parental permission. Also did not take pictures because I was all wet.

It sounds like he had a lot of fun! I'll bet the water wore you out too.

You bet it did. And I did not get to sit and snooze in a chair for a bit like he did. Oh, well.
