Scarcity of Water Struck Us

I ordered raw water and be delivered today. The city's water provider just gave me an hour to have some water. It is totally not enough, so I took the chance to buy 11 drums of undrinkable water. Most of our neighbors did this a couple of times now. It seems we are having water scarcity these past few days. Thus, it is an additional expense for my budget plan. Can you live without undrinkable water? Image Credit: images.fineartamerica.com

Well, we never buy or use undrinkable water, what comes down from our tap is drinkable and we have plenty of water.

I heard that some countries can drink tap water directly. We can do this but it needs to be boiled before consuming it.

@LadyDuck I am sure it will not happen here. If it happens, it will take many years.

@Shavkat We can drink the water that comes out from our tap, they check the quality of the water we drink twice a day.

Nope. I can't live without water. (A house here is not considered livable if you can't get fresh water.) Have you opened the water heater and gotten that water for use? Have you opened the back of the toilet for water?

No i can't live without undrinkable water, infact we use undrinkable water more in our daily lives as we know. This may be due to summer , the underground water keeps decreasing year by year and there are many factors to it. Anyways good that you bought eleven drums .

I was also suspecting it is because of the summer season. However, having an hour is not enough. Other places in my city are not like this.

Wow, that is really hard to live in a place that has a scarcity of drinking water. I think being in a high-altitude place and we are in the midst of summer water is indeed becoming scarce. I hope that the water provider could find ways to find a water sources that they can distribute to everyone.

@Shavkat Is your tap water really delivered? I guess there is a water pressure problem that it could not reach your place.

@rsa101 It is only happening this summer season. Originally, we are scheduled to have water TTHS. Lately, we are having it for an hour only.

I think you got me wrong. We can have purified water anytime. I am referring to the tap water from the faucets, which is unthinkable for the water provider to give.

What do you mean by undrinkable water? Do you mean you can`t drink this water?

Yes, it is just used for bathing, washing the dishes, etc. I am referring to tap water, which is not drinkable.

Was also caught unaware of the water service interruption here in our area. Saw the advisory at 5:00PM and the water service interruption started at 1:00PM. I was surprised because as late at 4:00PM there is still water from our faucet. Resumption of service is tomorrow at 6:00AM but hopefully, it is earlier than that.

@Shavkat there was water from the faucet at 10:00PM last night so that was good news. However, at 4:00PM there was no water from the faucet and it is only now at 6:30PM that there is water. Good thing that the service interruption is only for a couple of hours.

In my old house, we never experienced a water shortage. It seems like I need to complain directly to the water provider at the office.

In my barangay, the schedule of having water is TTHS. They are just releasing the water for an hour these past few weeks now.

@Shavkat that's very inconvenient indeed. One day of water interruption is already a burden.

We have tap water 24 hours a day. But when that water shuts off for some reason, then it impossible to work
