It's Thursday. So soon is all my brain wants to repeat. So soon that May is about over and done with. This week is closing sooner than later.
Renter guy said that he is driving over the mountains to take away my big curio cabinet. He says he will do that this Saturday. Then today he questioned through F B messenger whether 8 am was too early for me? I answered that my dogs get me out of bed at 6 so yes on the house being open at 8.
At least its not me driving 4 to 5 hours one way to pick up a large cabinet. I can sit or stand and watch the two younger people gently wrestle the cabinet top off its base- NOT breaking its glass door. I get to watch them pack the cabinet pieces down the deck steps and then be put into their old truck.
This house will feel empty without that large cabinet. For sure steps are being taken in the moving process. I know about tidying. This really will be a gigantic Tidy Job.

@CarolDM I will keep most of the treasures that were in that cabinet. Bavarian and English porcelain. No way am I just giving those away. I am going to give away a huge English platter- so rock like in weight that I wonder how anybody would ever be able to carry it if was loaded with a roast turkey? It is discolored so I will give it away. If I were to stay here, it would make an awesome bird bath.

You will get used to not seeing it. And it will be used.

@wolfgirl569 One less thing for paid movers to have to mess with. Good to hear from you.

Moving is never easy. At least you don't have to be the one to lug that to your next place or whatever you're doing.

@kaylachan "Whatever I'm doing." I like that. Sometimes I wonder what in the blank am I doing? Three years ago I talked my hubby into buying a rather large and somewhat old house for our retirement. Next year we are probably moving there.

I'm glad you won't have to deal with it.

@snowy22315 Hope so. This cabinet has glass in its big door and glass on each side of that door. And deck steps oh my.

@snowy22315 I hope the two guys can get the top piece of cabinet off the bottom. It is heavy. I'll have a yawning good time.

I was remarking to myself this morning that it doesn't feel like it should be Thursday. It's also 1:30 PM here and I wonder where the day has gone off too.
Hope the process is easy and quick for them. Old curios can weigh a ton though.

Oh, you are moving house? One of my neighbors just bought a house after years of renting, and is about to move too.
