Managed To Get Out of the House...

... earlier as I accompanied a friend of mine to purchase a laptop in the mall. Took a snap of the sun as it seemed surprised to see me out and about.
Anyway, my friend's laptop of many years finally gave up on her. Not sure if it is beyond repair. Since she needs a laptop tomorrow for work, she needs to buy one today. She is short in cash so she asked if I can use my credit card and she will just pay the monthly installments. I obliged to help her.
No traffic to the mall so we were there in fifteen minutes. Went to two computer stores. The first one had limited stocks so we moved to the second one. The second one had different brands. After looking at the specs and at her budget, she decided on which one to buy. I was planning to get a new laptop as well but I guess, it will have to wait. My current laptop does fine and although an upgrade will be nice, it is still able to do what I need it and want it to do.
When was the last time you got an upgrade for yourself?

My laptop is still working. Had it some 4 years ago. It just needs reformat.

@florelway yup, that is the way to go about it. Transfer the confidential and important files first and then have the laptop reformatted.

@allen0187 that's true. I have second thought of bringing it to a shop, I have confidential files stored. I need to transfer all those files.

Not sure, I have had this lappy about 5 years and it still runs very well. Technically it belongs to my friend, but he didn't want to use it. He prefers a chromebook. I also was gifted a nice Dell by roomies brother. It has Win 10 on it, but I really haven't used it.

My laptop has lost all its keyboard button. Those squares on top. I don't know if it can be replaced. But it's fast and working. I just hook up external keyboard from CDR king.

Good that you have an external keyboard. I know you can purchase individual 'letter keys' for your laptop. Try to look online.

@allen0187 oh . But then it can be costly. Considering how many I have to buy since nothing is left . I think CDR ling keyboard is fine. Only thing is I can't bring it out with me outside on cafe with all those missing. That won't be cool. Hehe

I need a laptop too because my brother's laptop that he left in the apartment is not working. Good thing, I am borrowing my other brother's laptop where I stay.

Yeah, I do. She is expecting money by the end of the week which covers half of the cost of the laptop. She will give the money to me once she gets it.
