So, I survived

I had a tooth extracted, I believe it is the last one. I have had trouble, big trouble in the past. This time it went smoothly.
I also had prep for a crown. That includes impressions. It will be made and will be back to the office in about three weeks.
My face felt funny as the numbness was leaving, and I felt very sleepy. I still feel sleepy but limited my napping so I will hopefully sleep well tonight.
For lunch we had Reuben sandwiches and potato salad. Hubby made the sandwiches.
I am glad I have insurance plus a flexible spending plan to pay for this work. I will probably have to wait to have more done until after I accumulate more funds.
Now it is time to get some things done here. But first, coffee.

I have money set aside all school year for my medical necessities. That is part of why I will keep on working. I also pay for the high end dental insurance and it covers a lot. Still, my trip today was over $400. That is out of about $1500.

I have not gotten infections from extractions but some were slower to heal than others.

@LadyDuck I used to be given extra antibiotics before an extraction. Not all dentists believe in doing this, so I quit fighting for it. That was because I had had a joint replaced in my toe.

@GardenGerty I do not know what happened with that tooth. The day of the extraction I was in pain all the day and night, the day after my face was all bruised and I had to rush to the ER where they discovered I had a bad infection. The dentist was so sure it was an easy thing... never undervalue things.

@GardenGerty So I guess you were able to operate your chompers sufficiently to tackle that Reuben.

Oh, me too. I thought it was going to be a difficult one, because of past issues, but this one was easy.

Yes, it is. In the long run good dental care means good health.

@Deepizzaguy You can get lots of infections if your teeth are bad.
