Hubby is not eating much

He always says he is too full. The weather was great today, and he mowed, paid a bill, got under the hoods of some of his cars. I hope he starts to build some appetite. Tonight he said he just wanted something cold. We had frozen fruit topped with yogurt, sweetened with honey. Plus some crushed hazelnuts on top. I am sure it was good for him. He also drinks an Ensure+ twice a day. Now he is out running an errand.

Sometimes people just slow down. At least he's getting nuturion through the shakes.

I worry that there may be something wrong with his stomach again.

@GardenGerty You might be right about that. Has he seen anyone for it?

If he is drinking two Ensure's a day, he is getting plenty of nutrition, so probably nothing to worry about over the fact that he has so little of an appetite.

They want him to gain weight. At one point he was down to 135 lbs, and he is 6 ft. 2. I feel like if he skips meals his stomach shrinks. He is back up to around 160 + pounds, but it has taken a year.

@GardenGerty Wow, he is thin! I'm 6'3", in great athletic shape, and I weight 255. I hope he can pack on a few more pounds.

Is there something specifically amiss that's killing his appetite, or is it just a combination of aging and hot weather?

I do not know. I asked if he thinks he has an ulcer again, He says no. It has not been hot here yet. He is just not very active.

@GardenGerty Well, if he's not very active, then he doesn't need a lot of extra calories to burn, just as long as he doesn't dwindle away.

My husband is the same, he is never hungry, I have to invent something for him to eat to give him some energy.

I am hoping that more outdoor time will help. It is nice to try new things too.

@GardenGerty For the moment is not getting better with my husband, because of this trigeminal neuralgia. He has pain chewing.

I think some hot tea can improve appetite. Yogurt is quite good though

The frozen fruit sound really good, Often times I am not very hungry and then there are days I just can't seem to get enough to eat,
