She was a close contact to a Covid19+ person so she needs to undergo a 14day quarantine period. It’s good to know that she doesn’t show any symptoms and in few days her quarantining will be over. I hope that Covid19, just like other infectious diseases will no longer as scary like this because of vaccines and hopefully a treatment will be developed soon. Have a pleasant day/night folks.

Why not they get themselves tested at first

I think if a person does not show symptoms or feel ill within the duration, he or she will just undergo isolation.

@ZedSmart my point was it'll waste a lot of time and if they can get checked then they'll get immediate results although you are right because in many cases the symptoms show after few days

@Butterfingers Yes, that's the incubation period so if symptoms showed up, that would be the time to be tested however, a bit confusing too because how about those who have the virus but asymptomatic?

They test those who were in touch with contaminated people here, even if they have no symptoms. There are many asymptomatic who are contagious.

@ZedSmart They are testing a lot here, but I know that in many countries they almost stopped testing.

If testing is done like that, I think there would be more number to be recorded but I think being in isolation during that period would also prevent from contaminating others if ever the person who have had close contact catches the virus too.

It's better especially that her isolation is almost over. If she got infected and asymptomatic, within the 14 day period the virus in the body will go away that's why the recommended isolation of those who were tested and found positive. Those who were admitted would likely stay longer in the hospital depending on the severity of the effects. Those quarantine in isolation facility will go home after 14 days without even tested again.

At least she's allowed to be quarantine for 14 days. Some bosses won't allow this. They'll ask you to do the swab test after a few days. Negative, then you're back to work.

Yes, the person will be isolated until such duration. I hope so too. I think we can't live longer in this kind of situation.

As if now it is a deadly disease and its variants are also increasing, so proper planning and experimentation should be done about its cure. Have a good day.
