Crystal ware

We both had a craze for crystal ware and had a huge collection of different shapes and sizes. In our younger days we entertained a bit but now they are languishing in the cupboard. And with the pandemic we have no guests at all. We both liked entertaining guests and this part of our activity has come to a standstill. Do you like entertaining guests at your home? Image credit:

I, too, have crystal. Now that things are getting better here, I’m using it and my sterling much more, but only with family. Not ready to have friends in my house.

Being the kind of person you are these restrictions must be quite a torture for you.

@allknowing It’s been torture, but being back in my house and seeing our younger son a lot has been our savior. He visited us at least twice a week since we’ve been back from Florida. Now we don’t need masks nor need to see each other out in the yard,

My husband and I rarely have guests over. We've hosted his parents a time or two, his sister came to visit once or twice. But, we typically don't have people over.

We had this right from the time we were kids - our parents loved to entertain

My mother was into that kind of thing and would entertain her friends often but I never was much for entertaining people.

The younger generation I notice do not like to have guests in their homes.

I'm 71 and the reason I don't entertain is because so many of my friends are allergic to cats and I have 2 plus a pup.
