Frugal Foodie: Taco Tuesday 6.8.21

She child has been asking me for taco bake for a few days. It's one of her favorite things I make, and we do it every other week at least. Since today was "taco tuesday", I decided it was as good of a day as any to go ahead and make it.
Because it's been forever since I've done a frugal foodie post, I figured I would go ahead and get back in the swing of things and break down how much dinner cost for tonight.
Tonight's taco bake is feeding all 4 of us:
Pillsbury Crescent Rolls $1.98
1 Lb 80/20 Ground Beef $3.20
Great Value Fiesta Blend Shredded Cheese $2.00
Canned Refried Beans $1.00
$8.18 (and that is with cheese leftover)
That is about $2.04 per person. Not too bad for a pretty filling meal.

That sounds very delicious, I have not had tacos in a long time, I will have to get the fixings and make some for myself soon,

I used sour cream and avocado. Lol, but the others don't like those things as much as I do.

@thislittlepennyearns Apparently I need more potassium in my life so I bought bananas and avocados. Oh I have to eat chips and guacamole? What a punishment! haha

We eat a LOT of bananas. Like multiple bunches a week.

How do you put this together? Is it crescents on bottom then beans, beef and then cheese on top? I may have to do this when family visits.

No, and of course the most expensive on that list is the ground beaf. Not bad for one meal.
