June 12 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from a warm Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. According to my computer, the current temp is 83 F. I can attest to that, having been outside walking on several occasions throughout the day. It's also been a good day. Here is why I'm thankful. I'm thankful for waking early and getting out on the trail before 6 AM when it was a cool 62 F. It felt wonderful at that hour of the day. Over the past week, I've seen two cardinals, red-winged blackbirds, rabbits, and a chipmunk cross the trail. It pays to get up early while the wildlife is hunting their breakfast. I'm thankful my son brought me more boxes. I have the video cabinet and the entertainment center emptied of all videos, three medium-sized boxes. I have the top shelf of the bookcase cleared. One medium-sized box. I have the window seat couch emptied of all winter clothes. One large box. The move has started. Tomorrow I will put together more boxes and finish the living room. I still have the rest of the bookcase and all the knickknacks to take care of. I'm thankful for the steps I got today as I completed all my fitness goals. Right now I'm at 19,427 steps. I'm thankful I kept my calories under control today. Hopefully, it will make the scale look nice tomorrow morning. I'm thankful I finished the notifications early so I could start filling boxes. I'm thankful I went shopping early this morning before the rest of the world woke. I got needed fruit, yes the bananas looked good. So did the grapes. I was almost out of water, the real reason I went shopping. I also talked to a myLotter who hasn't been here in a while. She's doing well. Okay, that's been my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. It's time for me to go to bed. I know it's early. The sun is still shining. However, I need to be up early for medication and church. The image belongs to me.
