Do You Know Your BMI?

In case you aren't sure, BMI stands for your Body Mass Index. It lets you know if you are: Underweight (a score of under 18.5) Normal weight (18.5 - 24.9) Overweight (25 - 29.9) Obese (30+) You have to fill in your height and weight in the correct slots and it will tell you your score. For a long time, my BMI was about 28 - 29.5...not good. Then I got breast cancer and my cancer surgeon told me she tells all of her patients to shoot for a BMI of under 25. So for the past year I have been trying to lose weight. My BMI is currently 26. I am trying to lose 10 more pounds. They say the last 10 pounds is the hardest to lose. I agree with them! So, if you care to share, what is your BMI? Here is the website:

@Kouponkaren I take care of my food only once a day, and fast enough often to maintain my weight, and exercise regularly, drink 2 liters of mineral water a day, because I work sitting

@ladyhero Do you mean that you only eat one meal a day when you said you, "take care of my food only once a day?" My doctor just recommended intermittent fasting to me as a way to lose weight. She says she is just starting to do it and it works. I think I will try it.

@ladyhero Well, good for you...literally, ha ha...that is good for you. I wish I could get there, but I think because I enjoy eating so much I may never make it below 24.

I have no idea what my BMI index is but I am pretty sure I weigh more than I should.

@Kouponkaren I have not written new stuff in a while but I have 226 hubs published there. Most were unfeatured due to low search traffic.

Mine's about 38, down from 40 something. I'm one of those people who has always struggled with their weight. But, I'm working on it.

@kaylachan Well, at least you are working on it so that's a step in the right direction! My friend is also at 38. We have been trying to lose weight together.

@RebeccasFarm I wasn't sure if I should "like" that comment, but what I meant by the like is that I am glad you commented. My goal is to be at 24...I like to eat too much and enjoy going out to dinner with my husband to get down too low. Plus, when people lose TOO much weight they start to get a lot of facial wrinkles as they age. Yuck!

Yes, I know my BMI, it is 18.9, so now I am "normal weight", no more underweight.
