123rd Philippine Independence

It was on June 12, 1898 that the first Filipino President Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the Philippine's Independence from the Spanish rule for 300 years . It was done in Kawit Cavite where our flag was raised. I salute all our brave countrymen who fought and died for our freedom. Because of them we the next generation is enjoying all the comfort of being free. Thank you again and Happy Independence Day

That's great to know. I was not aware that Philippines got independence that early. We only got in 1947 from Britishers

Some little facts , before we use to have 2 Independence days one was on July 4 , 1946 were the United States formally recognized The Philippines as a Republic. Later on it became the U.S. - Philippines friendship day.

Thank you very much . Sadly I havent gone to any celebrations , we just stayed at home because there are still cases of covid in our province.

Yup, 123 years free and the past couple of years, our own government is giving our islands and freedom away to China.

I hope it will not happen. Im sure there are things our government isn't telling us to prevent misconception and panic. We have our laws and justice system.
