Hubby's broken neck is almost completely well. He believes he was healed in March, but I make him wear his brace and follow the doctor's orders anyway, since he never felt any pain and would need an Xray to be sure. I keep busy all day every day. I'm tired most of the time. I started a new publication yesterday on Medium and I'm waiting to see if anyone follows it. These publications take some time to get off the ground. I found that when I accepted a challenge to post on Medium once a day, beginning in the middle of May, I'm earning more. So far this month I've made $32.78. I'm hoping I can hit $50 by June 30. But who knows. This could turn into another Bubblews type income for me if I keep at it. But keeping at it is hard. I'm almost 80. I tire more easily than when I was 60. And time is catching up with me. Realistically, I can't expect to have more than eleven years more. That's our family history. I have a lot to finish before then. Hubby wants us to rent out the Templeton house, and it will be a lot of work to clear it out. It's too hot to do anything upstairs, since we don't have any way to cool it. I'm beginning to feel my age now. I'd like to slow down and just enjoy life a bit more now. Now let's test how old you are. Do you recognize what's in this picture?

I am ten years younger but I am also feeling my age and I tire more than when I was 60. We had nothing like this in Europe, it looks like a manually operated water fountain shaped a bit like Robby Robot.

Right now it's being used as décor beside a dental hygienist's office. Does that help you guess?

@bagarad Oh yes, now I understand that this is part of the "dentist chair", this is part of the spitton.

Sorry, missed that Hubby had a broken neck! Very glad to hear he is well on the road to healing, I would certainly find that something to spend hours worrying about!

@bagarad Yes, when it comes to the back or neck we do tend to think the worst

Medium is a blogging platform. It has a subscription plan for readers. Writers can earn money there, but they will earn more if they are also subscribers. Non-subscribers can only read three articles a month from behind the paywall. Just as with every other content site, to get readers, one normally has to network with other writers by reading and commenting on their work. That's hard to do when you only can read three free articles a month. But there's a lot of really interesting stuff to read. The subscription fees go to pay the writers.

It's an odd structure but looks like a bubbler as we call them here or a water fountain. I'm sorry your hubby broke his neck. I'm glad it's healing.

Your age is probably why you don't remember this. It's hard to believe it didn't exist in India at one time. I'll try to explain it in another post soon unless someone guesses correctly.

You're probably too young to remember. It's old technology. And it's not a robot. I'll try to write a post to explain it tomorrow. I don't want to give it away before everyone has had a chance to guess.
