UFO'S Are Real (MyLot Exclusive #515)

Did you know that the first known documented UFO sighting in the US occurred in 1639? The native populations of North and South America had been seeing UFO's for centuries before that, of course, but they didn't write anything down---Unless you count things like the Nazca Lines and we never count anything like that. I'm running out of introductory space here, so I'll get right to my thesis statement: The "UFO Craze," as skeptics do usually and dismissively put it, did not start on Tuesday, June 24, 1947 with the Kenneth Arnold sighting. Sightings go back as far as we have records for and they come from every known culture and if you've seen one or more, odds are that you aren't delusional or crazy. There is an outside chance you are mistaking natural explainable phenomena for something other-worldly but it doesn't happen nearly as often as the skeptics fantasize it happens. If you clearly see a strange light or lights in the sky doing impossible things, it isn't a temperature-inversion induced reflection, swamp gas, Venus or a lenticular cloud. It could be a secret military craft but they are pretty rare as well. When the upcoming Pentagon’s UFO report comes out, it might shed a little more light on the mystery (The US government has been hinting it's going to be more open about UFO's and Aliens) but even if it doesn't, it doesn't alter the fact that extraterrestrial UFO's are real and they are here. And it's always been like that. ***** ARTICLES HISTORY AMERICA’S FIRST UFO SIGHTING WAS WAY EARLIER THAN YOU THINK America’s First UFO Sighting Was Way Earlier Than You Think

That is very interesting, I am sure there are many things that really exist that we do not even know about also, Since no one has really figured it all out, I would not mind meeting up with a strange fellow from the universe as long as he was friendly and we could just exchange some pleasantries, I might learn things I never thought I would,

@misunderstood_zombie I think they are or we would already know they aren't.

I hope they are nice whoever they are.

I do believe some of the things we see in the sky are extraterrestrials... Why they'd bother looking us over, I have no clue. We must be the most backward civilization(s) in the universe.

I get that line of thinking. It reminds me of people who bother to study things insects and bacteria. On the other hand, useful things can come from studying insects and bacteria. And I suppose, Earthlings.

@DaddyEvil But how are the Aliens to know that without studying them?

@xander6464 Insects and bacteria, yes. Humans... not so much.

It is fairly naiive to think we are alone in the cosmos. Aliens seem to mean us no harm for the most part though..fortunately.

Well, why not. This can't be the only planet that has life on it and we might be the youngest of them all which could mean our extremely ancient ancestors came from outter space

There are always those who will believe we are the only inhabited planet ..... did they miss StarTrek????

@rebelann They've also missed elementary science. There are so many planets and we are finding life in such unlikely places here on Earth that the numbers say that life elsewhere is a near certainty.

That is very likely. If we were more open-minded about the things we do discover, we would be leaning more in that direction.

Many parts of history have been left out, for the entire world. Sightings, I'm sure are proof that these things actually do exist. Life from another planet or universe? I'm sure nobody has this figured out.

@xander6464 Yes, and other countries play games with us also, doing things in outer space.

@kobesbuddy At that level, there isn't as much secrecy as you might think. It's very easy to keep things hidden from the general public but it's nearly impossible to keep anything a secret from foreign intelligence agencies.

I once ended up in an internet/book reading time-sink because of this very topic. And if I recall correctly, even the people tasked specifically to debunk UFO sightings would go on to admit that they saw things they honestly couldn't explain and could very well be evidence of something extra-terrestrial. And with the vastness of the universe, why should we dismiss the idea entirely? PS: the swamp gas mention made me laugh. Thanks for that!

The skeptics are often backed into corners like that. You've never heard the Swamp Gas Explanation? You should look into it.

@xander6464 I've heard of them before, the thing that haunted the Father of Ufology for years. Thanks for the link, it's nice to have a refresher.

I heard we humans are entertainment for the "stoner" population of aliens. But I mean anything flying we don't know what it is is a UFO maybe I am just being way too literal though.

That theory is as valid as any other. UFO just means Unidentified Flying Object. So anything you see in the sky that you can't identify is a UFO. If you see something strange, you can generally recognize whether or not it seems to be terrestrial, though

@Fa_Maverick The Pentagon calls them Unidentified Ariel Phenomonon but they also still use UFO.

@xander6464 Didn't they change the name of UFOs? I don't remember the new name they are giving them though I kinda zoned out of the discussion.

Yep, the human history maybe very different from the mainstream point of view. We don't know why we exist, like the chickens before they got slain. Only then they understand, OK, I serve as food....

@gbr2usa2chn Well, lots of people will answer that question if you ask them but I've never found any of the answers satisfactory. They seem to be all delusion and wishful thinking to me.

@xander6464 Yes, now I'm thinking about that wheat metaphor in the Bible. God wants wheat instead of weed, they explain this as God wants good decent people instead of bad corrupted ones, but to be honest, what does He want good people for? This really bothers me nowadays. I haven't finished read the entire Bible, if anyone knows the answer, do share, please.
